Red Alert: A Path Beyond brings the exciting storyline and epic clashes from the classic Westwood Studios game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert to realm of first person shooters, with a twist. We've remained loyal to the style and feel of the 1996 classic, while integrating content from its expansions Counterstrike and The Aftermath with a bit of updated history to add to the mix. Built off the W3D engine Westwood Studios built for classics such as Earth & Beyond and Command & Conquer: Renegade finished up in 2001, we help bring the fight to you as you play out your role as any one of a number of infantry classes participating in team-based combat that often involves land, sea, and air combined-arms clashes that just don't happen in any other game. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE?

Description

Ah yes, the Allied Gunboat. Our navy is particularly ugly right now, as you might've noticed (hence redoing those submarines). The current gunboat actually had a part of the unwrap that never got textured all those years ago: the very top of the mast. Kane000's on the job to get us a newer, prettier one. It's essentially the same as the Gunboat seen in Tiberian Dawn cinematics (except there it had a rocket launcher and a pair of .50 Cal guns on the back). In RA of course, it was armed with depth charges and a 2 In. deck gun which make them great for a first-boat-out in APB so that you can harass the Soviets before they've got subs out of port. Here it is, with much of the structure in place.

The second shot is slightly newer along in development. The turret is raised up a bit more, which will let you fire over the edges a little more clearly. As for depth charges, still thinking about that.
