Command & Conquer Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising, brings Westwood Studios' popular real time strategy game, C&C: Red Alert 2 into the FPS pespective, using the w3d engine. You will be able to experience, first hand, what it feels like to fill the boots of an Allied GI battling the communist might of the Soviet Union, or a Soviet Conscript vowing to take back what was lost to the Allies during the first great war. Classic units return such as the versatile Allied IFV to the mighty Soviet Apocalypse Assualt Tank to the gargantuan Allied Aircraft Carrier to the mad Giant Squids. This game features all of the units and structures for the Allied and Soviet sides from both RA2 and the Yuri's Revenge Expansion. The Apocalypse is Rising Commander. Are you prepared for it? We are holding a Q&A event this week at the BHP website. On Friday the event closes, and we will get together with the developers in a big meeting and answer all your questions in a video recording.

.. you mean TD right ?

and yeah.. they did build ren2 on the ren engine.. but they modded it to the extend it was supposed to have been in the first place.. unfortunately i doubt anyone can get a hold of the modified version thereby allowing for the improved shadows, textures and polygon limits.. oh yeah and effects :p

All those were units cut out of the origonal RA2, they acctually have VXL/SHP files inside the mix files if you care to take a look, however, Ren2 was infact the inbetween RA2 - TS era, closer to RA2, but still it was going to be built on the finished ren engine. As many people know ren was rushed and the engine isnt completed. I'm also sticking to a lower poly limit because everybody else does, it's just that i know alot of people in the community that still play ren havn't got very good computers, so i shall make sure all C&C fans can play it with the same specs needed for ren.

Btw have u set up a server online yet with 700k models yet? Has it crashed the game yet? =p Just joking. Although your point is very valid paradox.

actually it was supposed to be after ra2 or ra3 since it was about the soviet fall and the rise of nod which didnt exacly happen in ra2 :p

i was saying your not restricted to use 1500 poly things you can go higher think of 10k as the Absoulute max and if its under 3000 and needs something add it.

And if you remeber Ren2 was suposed to be RA2 so Westwood muct have been smokeing something when they made the ren2 models.... eh?
