So, you may be wondering…
WHERE THE BLOODY HELL ARE THE UPDATES!!?
Well… I am happy to say that everything has been in full swing over the past 2 months. Most importantly, we haven’t stopped development and we haven’t given up, we have just been incredibly busy and therefor very quiet publicly. We are a very small team and we decided to knuckle down and bury our heads in the sand for a bit and get stuff done! I’ll give you a run down on why you have not heard much from us, and what we have been up to.
Basically we needed to update our game design document and make sure everything was written down and planned out as best as we can. We always had a design doc, but it was out of date and things just changed, we got so busy working on the game that we lost track of it. So now, we have our document and we have planned out our Singleplayer and Multiplayer modes and everything in between.
As always it’s a work in progress, but at least now at this crucial time in development, we have a solid base to continue working from. Planning is everything and especially when dealing with small teams spread all over the world, it does wonders to have a reference for everyone to see and have input on.
We have almost finished our backend website work, so you are able to buy, download and update the game with our custom launcher and website setup! You will be able to quickly sign up and access online stats and leaderboards for when you play online multiplayer of Recruits! You might have also seen by now our Development Plan on our front page. I will be going in depth about this in the next update.
Multiplayer… ahh Multiplayer. It’s on the way. We are still ironing out all the bugs and glitches, but with all the above work we are well on the way to having you get get online and battle together in Recruits.
With all of this work being close to complete, we really hope that we impress everyone with what we have done over the past few months. It’s going to make everything easier for us, and better for you!
Now, with updates, I will be aiming to post progress more regular now. It will be good to get into the habit of keeping everyone up to date on the progress we are making and how it’s all coming together.
Thanks for putting up with a bit of delay in updates, we are doing the best we can to get back on the update wagon for you all!
