In 1997 Quake II was released ending the Strogg's collective leader the Makron being killed. Quake III moves away from the Strogg, but the universe's worst cybernetic foes return in Quake IV, ready to be destroyed yet again by Earth's forces. Quake II left the Strogg home planet without its planetary defenses, leaving it open for your attack as part of Earth's new armada. You help deliver the final assault to the Strogg as Matthew Kane, member of an elite squad fighting along squadmates with vehicles and advanced weaponary.
Quake IV is based on the Doom III engine, although it is apparent that Quake IV will be a superior modding platform thanks to iD and Raven's efforts in optimizing the netcode, adding vehicles, and general fixes made to the engine since Doom III's release.

The Final Build of HardQore is now available for download. We didn't purposely miss the 21st release date, just had problems uploading it ;)
It comes in both manual install and self installing. The release includes all the changes from the previously released patch, 5 new levels and tweaks to originals. Even though this build is our last one, it should still be treated as beta content and not 100% optimized and balanced. Please make sure you completely removed any old files from previously installed versions of HardQore before installing and to customize your controls & mouse sensitivity for maximum enjoyment.
Once again, we would like to thank everybody who has supported, played & enjoyed the mod; the community & id’s support for helping us create it. It was real learning experience for many of us making HQ and we enjoyed the ride all the way.

Were they talking about illegel stuff, I thoought they were just saying that the new patchd oesn't require the DVD to run the game
Is this mod worth getting? The name sounds cool. But now sure that it will be a good mod.
overall a fun game, but it could have been so much better.
patched Q4 and yes no need for DVD, thanks, now I can load up and play for 10 mins or so if I like for a break etc
@stroganoff: after patch 1.04 they got rid of needing a CD or DVD. So as long as you're patched you don't need a no cd crack
1.All the levels pretty much looked the same
2.Fighting the strogg got reallll boring
3.Ending sucked big time
Bah, why on earth would you ask here, it's not like they are hard to find... Besides im pretty sure asking for non-legit things isn't tolerated around here.
On topic: Quake 4 is meh, not worth buying.
I think this game was AMAZING I havnt enjoyed a game so much since I played HL2 so id say QUAKE 4 is my second favourite SP game from now on!

haha this game was the shit... awsome game play... the machine gun for being a second weapon was seriously the only gun i needed... that scope i mean geez i got headshots after headshots... but even threw all that haha i still managed to run outta ammo with the masses of enemy strogg that kept coming after me.
