In 1997 Quake II was released ending the Strogg's collective leader the Makron being killed. Quake III moves away from the Strogg, but the universe's worst cybernetic foes return in Quake IV, ready to be destroyed yet again by Earth's forces. Quake II left the Strogg home planet without its planetary defenses, leaving it open for your attack as part of Earth's new armada. You help deliver the final assault to the Strogg as Matthew Kane, member of an elite squad fighting along squadmates with vehicles and advanced weaponary. Quake IV is based on the Doom III engine, although it is apparent that Quake IV will be a superior modding platform thanks to iD and Raven's efforts in optimizing the netcode, adding vehicles, and general fixes made to the engine since Doom III's release.

Description

This add-on replace all the music in the game with some my composition in Quake 2 style, also I've added three tracks on three maps, The Tank map, the Dispersal map and the Core map. The music is focused on metal/industrial with a bit of orchestral for give to the player the old skool Quake 2 feeling. Some song play all over the level, especially on maps full of enemies. Extract the content of the file earthquake.rar into your Quake 4 folder, not q4base.
The final path need to be like this C:\Program Files\id software\Quake 4\earthquake.

For run the mod simply start up Quake 4, then click on mods and select "Earth - Quake",
then you can see a custom title.

//UNINSTALL\\

Simply remove the "earhquake" folder from your "Quake 4" folder.

//NOTES\\

this mod don't overwrite the original music of the game, if want to switch to the original
o.s.t. simply don't load the mod and run Quake 4 normally.

This add-on is tested on the Quake 4 patch 1.4.2, I don't know if this work with previous version,
because this add-on contains modified maps and custom music shader.

You can use this add-on with others, simply copy the eq_sound.pk4 and eq_maps.pk4 on the mod folder
you want add in. Make sure the other mod you run within this add-on don't contain the custom files
"music.sndshd" or you may notice some crashes.
