Hello,

Pulse Shift has been updated to 1.4.0.

Save files from 1.3.1 are no longer supported in new version because of several game changes as DLC integration in to main game. It is recommended to use clean installation or remove all files from "Profile" folder and "Controls.config" from "Config" folder. All in UserSettings.

Also interesting thing is that Desura already updated our game and deleted 1.3.1 (also standalone installer) what we didn't know. Our plan was to update game on desura later because of changes in save files and keep 1.3.1 just in case.

Changed and added things

- No longer need to press interaction key to collect bonus or holokey.
- Energy bar is invisible in chapter 0, chapter 1 and tutorial levels.
- Changed imprint uses
> Easy - unlimited number of uses
> Normal - 10x
> Hard - 5x
> Extreme - 3x
- Collected bonus is now visible in level menu
- Better tutorial
- DLC is now integrated into main game
> Can be found in bonus section same as for demo levels before and all levels are already unlocked
- Added rebind option for fast turning (Left Ctrl default)

I played the Demo just now and I really like the game idea and visuals. The current concept of picking an axis to rotate arround seems to hurt the gameflow a bit though. I find myself constantly stopping and looking at the axis cube instead of playing the game. Now maybe this is intentional and the goal is to keep the current world orientation in your head at all times. If this is in fact your plan, feel free to ignore this, but I would like to propose an additional world rotation methods that is more instinctual.
I would want to rotate the world relative to my current viewing direction, for instance.
Pressing the right or left mousebutton will rotate the world along the world axis the viewing direction is currently closest aligned to (Roll). Rotating the mouseweel will pitch the world 90° up or down arround the horizontal axis (Pitch).
Alternatively on a mouse with a weel that can be pressed side to side you could use that in addition to the mousebuttons.

Hi, thank you for your idea. I think that actual concept is very easy when it player learn how it works. No, you cant have actuall rotations in head, because axis are transforming by each rotation :) This is actually reason why I cant make rotations as you mention and another think is that player can look at corner so which rotation will apply is not that easy.

I have to agree with Zordac that having to look at the cube constantly does slow you down. But instead of having different keys/buttons rotete the world I thought it might be easier to have one button do it. Playing the demo, I always knew which direction I wanted gravity to be, the issue was having to check which button I needed to press to set gravity to that direction.
While I realise that such a system could take some real effore to implement, I think it would be well worth it.
When you look at a tile it could glow a little bit or an arrow would appear above it, and pressing the set button/key would rotate gravity in such a way that that tile would become "down."

Also I find that when jumping it feels like I bounce a small bit when I land, which makes jumping onto the tiny platforms very irritating.

But other than that I'm really enjoying the game. Great potential.

Looks great! Very enjoyable, and it kind of screwed with my head. I would strongly recommend you port this to PSN/XBOX - first person games tend to work well on these platforms, and the number of people making online purchases is obviously increasing. I think I’ll write up a more substantial summary later on at my blog, once I’ve woken up. I will definitely be buying.

Hi, try to delete Instance.config in "UserSettings\Configs" if exist. Than try run game via Launcher.exe. Maybe admin rights help too.

okay thanks it worked :)
sooo Feedback:
its awesome :)!
i really enjoy that kind of games (:
the graphics r exactly what i like in games :) its simple but that makes a awesome atmosphere *-*
i really love the physics and the rotation idea but its really hard to get there..
and you easily can lose yourself while rotating and rewinding.
would be cool if you can make a bonus lvl where you only see a cube with different colors on the sides just to get in the rotation thing (:
last thing is a little bug:
happened a few times to me when i rotatet too fast in 2 different ways.
than the camera has another angle than usual and if i walk i fall through the ground (and no i didnt fall through the dissappearing blocks) :D

this game is really awesome :)
cant wait to play full version :)
great job ^^
