We would have liked to have provided a video too, but sadly the final item on the RC3 tasklist is getting knee-deep in Java and its garbage collection routines to eradicate the stuttering that’s causing issues on some systems. Once this is fixed, the build shall be released forthwith – but as always we can’t give a definitive ETA, as we quite simply don’t know how long it’ll take to resolve the issue.
As ever any general update news will be fed into our status updates thread. Anyway, we’re just chuffed to bits that the good ladies of Muldraugh will soon get their chance to shine – and indeed shamble listlessly. Thanks everyone!

I dont think the creators want that. They want to see how long you can live. But i dont think they have any grudges with the modding community doing it. I just dont think they will put anything that could allow the player to be self sustainable and safe from the zombies. The creators just want to watch the world burn =)
I think he means in zombie form. Would personally put me off of things a bit. Sure bad things happen to everyone in real life.. But no need to push it that far in a game. Is why I eventually couldn't take the walking dead comic anymore.

Look you just can't have a realistic zombie game without kids, it's not because I'm a morbid POS, for me it's a fact. To be realistic it also needs old people, different races, people of different body types, ECT. Doesn't that just make pure sense? The game is going to look rather unfinished and lame dont' you think with only two types of people running around?
Besides all of that, dealing with these sorts of emotions are part of survival situation. It would be cool to see a NPC attack you because he needs food for his family, like in World War Z. I find it kind of a joke that people think the only thing a realistic zombie game needs is a shelter and survival system. In a real zombie situation like this you would also have to very very likely make emotional and personal moral choices.
@roh: No offense but your logic isn't very sound. You can kill and rob an innocent man and then burn down his house in Project Zomboid, without any mods. If that doesn't turn you off, yet killing the undead of any age does, your playing the wrong game for one and second your empathy has a major flaw.
I don't murder any of the NPC and take their stuff, I actually stick with them. This is a choice I make as a player. You could also choose not to shoot a zombie kid, but it would be stupid since it's not a person anymore.
Since we are going overboard on the emotional gravity of this, I would dare say you would likely not be able to shoot a real zombie person either, just like on The Walking Dead and probably get eatin day one. No offense, but if that was really an issue for you, your zombie food.
In reality children would be an unlikely occurence in a zombie apocalypse scenario, they are smaller, softer and easier to catch than a full grown human, as such the majority of children would be entirely eaten rather than bitten and slowly turned.

First Mr. Dense. A few facts for your weak logic. Project Zomboid takes place at the outbreak ( that means the start just incase your super dense) of the zombie apocalypse. That means there would still be plenty of children, old people and adults. As it only just started. Hopefully that isn't to complicated for you dysheria. You seem to be rather slow and have difficulty grasping full paragraphs.
Also, just to drive home how dense and a troll you are here are a few questions: So what are you saying that all the children would run out into the street and get eaten? Or are you saying that the parents would leave them behind? Or are you saying that because a zombie apocalypse broke out that children would vanish? Are you saying because they are small they don't exists?

Simple answer, undead zombies likely would not be susceptible to drugs as their blood is coagulated.
Second, you could have sex with a zombie but the only way I could see it working is in the direction of a undead male with a living female. Let's remember undead is dead, it only speaks to the body being reanimated or controlled beyond its own means. So a male could possibly have ,...zombie sperm, funny but true. Eggs of course don't work that way.
What I think you may be thinking of actually is the in Dawn of the Dead (the remake) with the zombie baby. Though that kinda is a different thing almost fit for the comics. The baby was born human and turned in the womb from "infection/curse" bite , cause it's mother for the turning to undead. Though it would be very unlikely to think it would even "survive", which is again a loose term for something that is not actually alive.

This is also a very loose swing, it depends on what version of zombie you are talking about. The more common ones are reanimation, or viral, however viral can go anywhere from killing the host and keeping them mobile, to devolving their brain enough to make them go insane with bloodlust (like in 28 days). It is also possible that the virus reanimates and heals the dead while mutating (both living and dead) in such a way that they are in a constant state of canabalistic hunger. This would also explain why in some movies and such, zombies that have been 'killed' get back up again at a later time, as if nothing had happened.
In either case, there are unlimited possibilities as to why, until the origin is discovered, and understood.
I hope you understand they will never be a zombie apcolypse. And chances our if there was a outbreak of any sort of harm that could destroy the world. Unfortuantly the country that hosts the virus would most likly not exist no more. Its pretty obivous that they would bomb the **** out of a country if something like that happend. Besides people are to prepared even if it did happen we would live and it would be over very quickly =)
Us? Prepared? Hell no. Too many social issues to allow a definitive actions. By the time the origin DOES get bombed, it will have spread. A zombie will have walked into a forest, bites animals, animals get eaten, virus spreads on a regional scale.
Well thats what i mean if a a country dose get nuked or however you would like to do it. Well probz not nuked because that would probz end up ******* up other countrys aswell but. Even if it did spread the bombs would surely destroy it. And it would be labeled a dead zone.

Yeah the game s.t.a.l.k.e.r is a good example. Area was infected. It went beyond control. So they just quaretined the area.

Well i dont think this is a realstic zombie apcolypse simulater. As the devs are more focused on getting you killed than watching you thrive. But if they think project zomboid is a smimulater kind of game then yes. They not should. They would have to introduce, love, realshionships, friends, family (well mabye not family if you were adopted) and kids. But i think even if they wanted to. We wouldnt see it for a long time. Im sure it would take a long time to a stable version that allows you to have BABIES!!! I hope they do. I would rather survie and thrive. Than die. I think we all agree.
I think it is a good concept and a good action to get the player to be able to choose to play as a "female" also. Makes it far more realistic as not all zombies/people are just men. Plus it helps make this game more appealing to women as they can now get to customise and create their own character. Minecraft still needs to add "females" officially to the game; however people have created skins that accommodate the female players.
I do love this game so much, and have been watching the progress on the forums and have tried a few updates which are epic but as there is so much progress being made I am just going to sit back and wait for the next official update. That way I will have something fresh and scary to play when it is out. :D

They have been adding unstables small updates but Desura has the latest stable version of the game. I think thommarow the newest stable version is being realsed. Fear not! The game has no been abandoned.
They cant do that because of so many companys suing them for Child Violence look it up they already went through almost getting suied D:
