Jerky performance Thread - Project Zomboid

Hi,

So i am having some performance problems with this. The game seems to be mini stuttering from time to time, also my clicks dont register its like there is lag or something. Anyone that had the same problem ?

I know it's an old post. But I did not want to open a new one, knowing that somebody else started a thread, dealing with a problem similar to mine.
Currently I play version 2.9.9.17 (downloaded from Desura on 7th of dec 2013). In the start screen it says "17 (0011) in the lower right corner.

Java: 1.7.0_45
MacBook Pro (Core i5, 2.5 GHz, 4GB RAM, OS X 10.9 "Mavericks")
Zombiod Version 2.9.9.17

The game ran smoothly with older versions. With the new version, downloaded from Desura, it freezes every 15 to 20 seconds for about 1 or 2 seconds. During this freezes all the sound and music stops. Also the graphics freeze. Afterwards it runs smoothly again for the next 20 seconds.

Does anybody know how that can be fixed?

That's the garbage collector kicking in, most likely. For most people it's only a visual disturbance, however.

Try the latest Steam build -- there have been attempts to optimize the game since Build 17 was released on Desura. There'll be more to come.
