Hi, cyfieithydd is here!

Long time no seen, yes? Today i have only 2 news for you: bad one and good one. The bad one is: Project RULE exists no more. That was my very first experience in game-developing, i've learned much about c# and Unity. And it was very helpful by creating my next game for Android Distant Stars (more info about it is here.). That experience was very helpful and now you'll get the good news.
RULE isn't actually died out, but transformed into my new project - Kingdoms.

You can learn more about here:

All ideas, concepts, materials are still alive and they will be used in my new game. Hope that you'll be so enthusiastic and active in giving me inspiration for moving on. Thank you very much, see you in Kingdoms!

Please answer this. How did you get the blocks to spawn right on top of the terrain?

via script. Unity allows to get information about coordinates of pointed object (terrain) with Raycast function. And when you'll have cordinates WHERE you whant to set block, the rest is easy.

I have the same strategy, that Mojang had - free beta and alpha, and for those who will make pre-order of the full version, all patches, dlcs, new features etc. (I'm planning to develop the game for a long time after release, like Mojang) will be free, of course.

Hi what type of a game are you aiming it to be in the end? will it be story driven or are you going to let the player do whatever he or she wants? will the player be able to build a town from scratch? or even a kingdom? and most importantly (for me) will it be first person or 3d person? Or is asking this kind of questions too early for now:D
Sorry for bombarding you with so much questions, it's just I didn't understand well :)
anyhoo keep up the good work M8...

It will be more PRG than anything else, but the elements from other genres are also available. For example you can command your people of affect economy, like in RTS, but using 1-st person(~Skyrim) or 3-d person view (~Mount and Blade).
Yes, the player will be able to build a house, village or the whole kingdom from scratch;) The quests will depent of the world. For example, there is a band/wolf/dragon/ near the house/village/city. If the enemy is too close to the NPCs they can ask you to kill it. The example is the simplest, but the main idea is clear, i hope:)
Thanks for asking:)
