When releasing your stage, character, or any other kind of mod, there are specific rules that you must follow. These rules are: 1) Give credit. If you're going to release something, be sure to credit everyone who has worked on the mod. As an example, if I release a character that uses Classic Sonic's model from Sonic Generations, then I would have to credit Sonic Team for the model and textures. Here's essentially how it would look: Credits: 2) Ports of already created levels, or characters may only be released with the consent of the person who originally released them. 3) You may not release a virus. This goes without saying, but releasing something that could damage another person's computer is not tolerated. In addition, we are not held responsible for anything that may damage your computer in any way. However, this doesn't mean that we can't attempt to prevent this from happening. 4) All releases must be compatible with the version of the engine specified in the title. In addition, all releases must have the engine's version number in the released content's title. Here's an example: "Sonic Generations Classic Sonic(V1.0)" 5) All releases containing content that changes the logo, or the loading screen must have specific information on them. This image must contain the text "Sonic the Hedgehog and related content is owned by SEGA", and the text "The Genesis Redux Project was created by: Sonickidnextgenesis". In the event that you do not abide by these rules, you will be given a warning. In the event that three days pass with no form of response, your release thread will be set as hidden until further notice. If you have been warned, or your post has been taken down, you may contact the forum staff via the support board, or by email: GenesisReduxproject@yahoo.com or directly to Sonickidnextgenesis: SKIVortex@rocketmail.com As a quick note for those who misunderstand rule #2: Rule #2 was added to protect people's creative rights, not prohibit your ability to release content. If you're planning on releasing something like a full(Compatible) rip of a model(An official model, animations and all), or you're releasing your own custom animations for an official model, it's perfectly acceptable. The only situation that this is not tolerated in, is if you're using unofficial content that you don't have consent for. As an example: If someone creates and releases a rig for a model(Or anything of that nature), and I decide to use that rig, I would need to have the permission to use that rig. The same goes for things like texture edits, model edits, skeletal edits, etc. |
