Prisoner is a first person shooter for Windows. Inspired by older titles such as Wolfenstein 3D, Prisoner is the first commercial title by Nala Creations.
Describing where I'm at with the project, and the iterative approach I'm taking to development.

Work is progressing well on the latest build of Prisoner, although there isn't too much to talk about as I've only been working on the art side of things lately.
For efficiencies sake, it will be easier to work on certain gameplay mechanics once I know exactly what textures I will be working with. As such, I've been putting together some rough textures to work with. This is allowing me to experiment with different themes and ideas, which I can then re-work or replace.
One thing I'm trying to do is suggest a story through some of my texture work. With the game being designed simply as a maze shooter, I thought it would be fun to add clues to the games setting within it's levels.
This rapid approach to creation is also allowing me to experiment with a few different gameplay ideas without having to feel commited to them. It's much harder to throw out an idea when you've spent a week on the images for it!
I may share some images from this "Programmer Art" build once the texture set and gameplay mechanics are nailed down, which I hope will be within the next fortnight.
Thank you for your continued interest and support in this project!
