In the distant future deep into space humanity discovered a new state of matter, contained by a mysterious stasis field, that could be used to create any kind of matter and energy. Some believed this state of matter is what existed in the early stages of the universe and named it the archegon phase.
By creating exotic matter,anti-matter and force carrier particles directly from the archegon they could potentially use it to manipulate spacetime and create massive amounts of energy.
However the process of creating different kinds of energy and matter from the archegon was not efficient due to limitations of their technology which made the extraction of the archegon from the stasis field extremely difficult.
A new discovery was about to change this...

POWER STRIFE is a real time strategy game I created with Epic games' Unreal Development Kit.
The purpose of the game is to gather resources, construct a base, create more units and research upgrades to engage your enemies in combat and destroy them or complete various mission objectives to emerge victorious.

New update coming soon using new optimized code

Several Months ago I decided to "discard" the old code and start coding all over again
because it was messy and full of ugly hacks.
The new code is more efficient and organized better.
I also implemented 1v1 multiplayer.

A new version of the game will be ready in a month or two
expect the following changes:

- Better optimization
- Smooth mouse pointer movement
- Smooth camera movement
- Improved AI and pathfinding
- 1v1 multiplayer
- A new faction
- A few gameplay related changes
- New 3d Models
- More Dense/Detailed Terrain
- New Settings Menu with many options

I'm sorry for the long delay.
It has taken longer that I anticipated but a new update will be coming soon using new optimized code.

1.ok but you will finish the game even if you don't get enough fundraising right?

2.any date on when the next build will be coming

3.How far are you in in terms of models?

4.Will each faction build differently?

5.How about instead of 8 campaigns you have one big one that incorporates allow the races instead of 8 since since I can seer it becoming pretty repetitive?
thanks again sorry for all the questions but there really arnt enough proper rts games out there now so this one exites me

4. Most of them will do that in a similar way. A couple of them will build differently.
5. The factions will play differently and have different objectives and storyline so I don't think it will be repetitive

2.Also is there any chance you can have animated portraits for all the units like what they did with warcraft 3 and a couple of other games?

1. I plan to have 3 of the Factions available in the next version.
I've added new units and I'm designing new 3d models for all unit types.
Right now I'm more focused on improving the game functionality and adding multiplayer support.

2. Not a priority. Perhaps when I'm finished with everything else.

3. If I manage to get some kind of funding it will help me focus on the game and finish it earlier and also include some additional features.
So I'm thinking about starting a campaign on indiegogo(I don't live in the US or UK so I can't start a kickstarter campaign)

I'm making several changes to the game and its taking a while to implement everything.

Good concept. The comments I will make are either true, or my laptops not working right. Yes great game concept. Few issues (Obviously its the alpha so its most likely going to get changed), the camera movement and mouse are too slow, making it think it's lagging, but then the units move at really high speeds, making it seem unnatural. So maybe increase the camera movement and decrease the unit speed. The AI (As ur probably aware of as well) is crap. Walking into buildings trying to get the CC, avoiding units shooting at them. My units also appear to get jammed in a lot of places too. Lastly the HUD is a little boring, not fitting with some of the environment. For an Alpha it surprisingly has little things bad about it! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for trying the game! I appreciate the feedback.
The game does have some performance issues that are more obvious on slower computers.
I'll do my best to optimize the code, then the game should run a bit faster.
I will change the speed of the camera and the units.Right now I need the units to move fast so that playtesting doesn't take too long.
I have solved the issue of units getting stuck to some extend (now they rarely get stuck) and I'm also working on improving other aspects of the AI behavior.You will notice the difference when the next version is availiable.
There are many things to be done and there will be major changes to every aspect of the game.
