Hello OpKers!

Long time no annoucement, eh?

Although this has been up on the forum since Postal 2 was still on Steam's Greenlight last year, I completely forgot to annouce it here in the group! Mental I know...

Back before Postal 2 was released on Steam, Opium Pulses secured an EXCLUSIVE interview with the lead Community Manager at Running With Scissors.

Main topics include the possible remake of Postal 1, the greenlight process they were going through with Postal 2 and the abomination that is Postal 3.

Click here to check it out: Running With Scissors Interview

Please comment on the forum or down below (NO NOT ON YOUR SILLY BITS) regarding your thoughts on the interview and the various shit discussed in it.

Thanks,
OpiumPulses.

Ok the Linux versions of this that we just released are brand new. It was cleaned up and fixed up so it would run on modern Linux distributions. You can't get these version for Linux anywhere but here.

Thanks for the updated build ! Works like a charm !

May I ask two questions though ?

- 1) when using an AZERTY keyboard (French one here), the digits do not work -- I have to remap and use the numpad instead. It's no big deal but it happens frequently, for instance in "Achron", which prevents, in the latter, to use important features (like, grouping units). There must probably be a common cause (in SDL maybe ?) that could be worth investigating ?

- 2) under Gnome Shell (Linux Mint 12), fullscreen apps that use a resolution lower than the monitor one are sometimes not completely fullscreen (you can stil see the "activities button", the clock, etc. at the top of the screen. It only happens with some games, not all (example : not in Braid, JamesTown, Blocks that matter, but it does in Chocolate Castle and World of Goo). Maybe there's a reason / workaround in the way some apps open a screen ?

Cheers and thanks for your support !

You know what? I put in Ubuntu 11 on my pc and fiddled around with it, its nice, but not fully windows user friendly yet, but I like it anyhow. There should be more "HOW TO..." guides and sites on the net, that make it beginner friendly, because there really arent that many around. ..

SOMEONE SHOULD MAKE A SITE ONLY BASED AROUND LINUX (Ubuntu) GAMING and how to GET THEM TO RUN! :>

I think how the game goes full screen is really going to depend on how the developer wrote the routines to do that. If they use SDL then that becomes less of an issue from what I have seen. You would just need to contact each developer and talk with them about it.

yeah...I dont really know what that SDL library thing is...but its nice, it enables you to run games with modern resolutions and get sound in them and so on...I got alot of those old wolf3d games and total conversions of them to run in windows thanks to that. More should be looked into that if it can do more crossplatform compability with programs and games!
