Weee!

This was awesome. I was amazed at how many maps you actually added. The quality of the maps was awesome. The new turret sounds were totally cool. From the videos I have seen, the new portals look AMAZING. Absolutely freaking AMAZING. The old security camera was cool. You all have done a very good job, and deserve loads of cake.

I have one question. What is the start screen supposed to represent? Is it just one of the bugs of my graphics, or does it look like a blurry mess of nothing?

Also, I know you said you weren't going to offer DX8 support, however, I found a few texture bugs. The first one was the portals, which I don't even know how to describe. The second was the metal wall, which didn't cubemap very well and seemed flat instead of raised.

All in all, fabulous, and keep it coming!
PS. I laughed so hard when I found the radio, reep!
PSS. This is your left, that's your left...

Thanks for the comment. :)

The blurred screen is to represent nothing. Better then waiting for a map to load so you can start the game. As your your texture issues, we really did not pay attention to DX 8 users like we did when we first started to work on Project-Beta. So some issues might accrue. And I'm glad you liked the radios. There will be more tracks and "surprises" in Project-Beta. :)

what can I say? was awesome. won't bother you with the one con, but the maps were laid out very good.
what I will say, is where is the rest of the GM_portal_challenge themed maps? O.o I recall seeing the comparason, and there were more chambers completed than released O.o

Maps = fail. They're don't stands as testchambers in Portal storyline, and the most maps are cut or have big count of custom content. Portals are good, but I've got infinite count of particle errors. Portal "bullet" is too sharp. Make it more blurrer. Rotating loading icon doesn't works because frames don't changing when loading. Make better icon. My rating: 3,5/5.

To make the portals resemble the trailer we had to remove particles, rather than waste time and edit them one by one, I deleted all the particles that arent needed. You wouldnt notice this little issue if you just played the demo and not used dev console. This wasnt meant to stand out in a Portal storyline, it was meant as a minimod with some Portal gameplay designed to look like the trailer. Cave added the rotating icon and I decided to include it just so people could have the tools to try and fix it for themselves or add something like it to their own mods.

I still enjoy running through this once a day! Y'all did an awesome job.
Just commenting to mention two bugs I found. One, the door at the very beginning of the first chamber (you know the one you spawn directly in front of, not the one activated by the button) you can walk through. It exposes some of that funky material.
Next and last, right before the second map change, you can place a portal on the black area. When you change levels, it still exists, which causes bugs if you place the other portal.
Two I had to mention. Still, very good job on the mod.

Awesome job there. Couple bugs but... They are not even worth mentioning. Except one which FootBallHead mentioned that is. I love this. PB is something really worth waiting, so i will wait. Forever, if it takes that.

You need Portal. If you have it installed and placed the file in the Sourcemods folder, it should work. Make sure its the folder that says: Portal Project Alpha. Hope that helps.
