Pokémon3D is a recreation of the old Pokémon games Gold/Silver by Nintendo/GameFreak (but, of course this game has nothing to do with them ;) You're the hero of the game, and as usual, you want to be the best Pokémon trainer of all time. So let's go, visit some grass and catch, battle and defeat wild Pokémon, explore towns and routes in 3D, collect items and Pokémon, play with a friend in LAN co-op and much more. The game is currently under development and features are added frequently.

Pokémon3D is back with version 0.27 and new features all over the place. EDIT: Updated to version 0.27.1 to fix two bugs.

Also, there’s a new launcher available, if you cannot get the new versions, try to download the updated launcher from here: Download

Now let’s get to the changes and new features:

  • New lightning engine (in development, but is nearly finished) - Disable with F4.
  • New Pokédex mode - Habitat mode. Switch around in the Pokédex using the arrow keys.
  • National Park and gates.
  • Overhauled complete music pack to make it loop better.
  • Placeholder abilities
  • All attacks implemented. Most are placeholders though and don’t work properly. We will implement them step by step.
  • Sudowoodo event and SquirtBottle.
  • Route 36 trainers
  • Fixed “InsideCorner” model displaying wrong textures and lightning
  • Pokémon are displayed larger in battles when having better IVs.
  • Fixed healing machine sound sounds over the music.
  • Fixed steel types can get poisoned.
  • Showing Genders [(F) or (M)] while renaming Pokémon.
  • Splash screen (This is actually important because the game is loading stuff in the background - it reduces startup time so you can see something from the game earlier)

And here are some pictures:

Is "first person" a camera mode in your game? Those shots look first personish, and cool. I've been following this for a while and enjoy your updates and hard work. Keep the momentum.

oh no no no.. You see, I know how frequent these updates are. Ill let others play the beta, and Ill watch as this grows and grows. When I think I cant wait any longer, Ill be all up in that. I Just don't want to spoil it this early on, because when I do, Ill play the crap out of it until I need an intervention.

That's ironic because that's exactly how I watch this project. I love to see rich updates like this, because when I get ready to play, it will be rich and immersive. I don't want to start now because I'll get to whereever the progress is, stop, and be wanting more to play(That's where my impatience kicks in and spoils the moment).

Anyways, this projects going VERY well, and I love seeing every update!
