Platinum Arts Sandbox is a free open source 3D Game Maker, world creator and 3D Game Design program currently being used in many schools throughout the world that allows kids and adults to create their own video games, worlds, levels, adventures and quests, even cooperatively! The goal is to make it accessible to kids but also powerful enough for full game projects. With a simple click and roll of a mouse wheel users can modify the world however they want. In the words of a nine year old Sandbox whiz I babysit for, “Press Edit and go fulfill your dreams!”. Now features new game modes such as sidescroller, machinima, kartmode, RPG, and more!

The first episode of The Exciting Adventures Of Master Chef Ogro Fruits And Vegetables Extraordinaire has been released! The Platinum Arts Sandbox RPG is a branch off of the main version of the open source free 3D Game Maker. The RPG contains many new powerful features, including the ability to easily add and tweak NPCs, monsters, spells, etc. Though kid friendly, without much effort the RPG could be used to create a non kid friendly game.

The majority of the content was created by High School students and it has already been accepted at a College festival and competition. The RPG features produce magic and monsters and many levels to explore. The project has been kept kid friendly with mild animated combat which features monsters becoming "full" and unable to attack. The RPG contains many new powerful features, including the ability to easily add and tweak NPCs, monsters, spells, etc. Though kid friendly, without much effort the RPG could be used to create a non kid friendly game.

The main version of sandbox is getting a ton of awesome updates! It has been reported that Sandbox runs even faster now, and there are tons of new features coming up, including a map with a working train! Check out the screenshot in the custom content section! Hey, sounds great. Though an RPG were monsters are unable to attack is a bit... uhh... Well, I mean, even in Banjo Kazoie, monsters attacked the player. It was stilll pretty kid friendly.

Oh, it's now known as a game maker?

Nope, it is standalone. As always, thanks so much for your support Happy Friar. Also there is some really cool stuff in the works so there is a lot more to come. If you want to see some of it now you could just DL the main SVN :D Take care!!!!
