There are the problems that have been mentioned (like glitchy enemies going through walls, no lean keys) but heres my problem with the mod.
The comparison to Left 4 Dead is more than just that both are 4 Player Coop, its the shooting of huge mindless hordes with a few special enemies in between.
That is in part the enemy AI but the sheer number of enemies suggests that that was a design decision. Less time spent on AI by throwing more enemies at you.
And what it lacks when compared to Left 4 Dead is the ability to put you into new situations on every playthrough. Where and when the special infected spawn changes a map immensely, here you might get a taser guy here or there that you didn’t expect but there is no variety in the tactics you need to apply. You shoot until they fall down and thats it.
Shields can be a little more trouble but only until the braindead AI waddles out to where you can flank them.
Finally there is far too much time spent waiting for something to finish, be it the automatic drill, the automatic saw or the guy in his van who can apparently stand being fried in there for 5 or more minutes.
With a few more creative Ideas it could be great, at the moment it feels tacky. With only 6 maps it doesn't see much replay value.
I do respect Overkill productions for releasing a patch to improve the AI and add new maps but the game still feels very flawed and they have already lost alot of players.
I may come back to it once they release some of their planned expansions.
