An action filled first person shooter game for the PlayStation®Network and PC that lets players take on the role of a hardened career criminal executing intense, dynamic heists in constant pursuit of the next "big score". Navigate diverse urban settings with three partners in crime-controlled by either AI or your best buddies in co-op multiplayer. Load out with an array of weaponry and equipment as you embark on a spectacular crime spree through six high-stake heists, including banks robberies, prisoner extractions and armored car hijackings. 4 professionals rob a bank and get rich or die trying....
There are the problems that have been mentioned (like glitchy enemies going through walls, no lean keys) but heres my problem with the mod.
The comparison to Left 4 Dead is more than just that both are 4 Player Coop, its the shooting of huge mindless hordes with a few special enemies in between.
That is in part the enemy AI but the sheer number of enemies suggests that that was a design decision. Less time spent on AI by throwing more enemies at you.
And what it lacks when compared to Left 4 Dead is the ability to put you into new situations on every playthrough. Where and when the special infected spawn changes a map immensely, here you might get a taser guy here or there that you didn’t expect but there is no variety in the tactics you need to apply. You shoot until they fall down and thats it.
Shields can be a little more trouble but only until the braindead AI waddles out to where you can flank them.
Finally there is far too much time spent waiting for something to finish, be it the automatic drill, the automatic saw or the guy in his van who can apparently stand being fried in there for 5 or more minutes.
With a few more creative Ideas it could be great, at the moment it feels tacky. With only 6 maps it doesn't see much replay value.
I do respect Overkill productions for releasing a patch to improve the AI and add new maps but the game still feels very flawed and they have already lost alot of players.
I may come back to it once they release some of their planned expansions.
Games great and the maps are truly high in replay value. Gameplay is intense and the graphics are good enough but not its shine. Problably one of the best coop games money can buy. Only problem with maps is the random generated events are to subltle and should be more drastic causing the map to steering into a less linear path each time you play. Damage is great but it would be nicer to see more destructible parts. The movement is cool but wish your movement would be shown more in first person on waht moves your really doing like when you see your teammate do this crazy stunt then dodge rolll his way to cover... only your teammate wasnt aware he ever did this. Its somthing ill probllably come back to even after i play for over 50 hours.
