The Paranoia 2: Savior is a free-to-play Action/FPS/Horror PC game for Windows OS based on «Xash3D» engine. It's a sequel to 2007s «PARANOIA» mod which was itself based on GoldSrc engine.
The «P2S» grew so big that it became a standalone game, and is no longer considered a mod.
We remind you that in first "Paranoia" (HLM), the player, as the "Alpha" team's fighter executes various combat missions to eliminate the terrorists and protect civilians at industrial complex "Ударник"
(Udarnik, aka shock-worker). As a consequence he learns the existence of a secret underground research facility "КРОТ" (KROT, aka mole) and faces its inhabitants and secrets.
-re-mastered and improved AI;
-new visual effects (local dynamic lights, bump-mapping, specular mapping, parallax-mapping (for models and brushes), supports HDRL (High Dynamic Range Light Maps), detailed textures, etc...);
-well-organized its modding system;
-levels inspirated by real post-soviet architecture (detailed surroundings);
-reloaded materials of surfaces
-fixed menu buttons
-added render options
-corpses won't disappear
-added compatibility for Radeons and some Intels cards
-collecting documents and items comes easier now
-fixed pickups through walls (HL1 bug)
-added one more secret area
-replaced some borrowed models and textures
-fixed and added npc weapons and heads with its speech-groups
-some level-design changes

People play games, read books, watch movies, for the solely reason: experience emotions. There are a wide range of different ones. A few of these are positive and keep us feeding what the brain wants. However on this game, 90% of the time I experienced frustration, confusion, boredom and anger. Level design, while decent, doesn't give the player proper visual clues. Most of the time is uninspired and fails to set the mood properly.
