Paradox Shift is a first person puzzle action game. As Inspector Carmen Medina from the Department of Time, you must evaluate the use of time travel in the creation of the Grand Canyon Dam. Unravel the conspiracy behind the dam's construction and race to prevent its collapse. Use only a Time Transport Tool (T3) to instantly shift yourself and tagged objects back and forth between two time periods as you traverse levels and solve puzzles. With no traditional weapons at your disposal, evade and distract enemies across time as you stop them from destroying the dam.

Hello indiedb community! I'm Jordan the producer on Paradox Shift, currently a student at USC. I'm working with over 30 other students at USC and LCAD on making Paradox Shift. We've accomplished a lot so far, but we still have a ways to go. Here's a few bullet points about the game:

  • We're developing in UDK
  • The project started in late August 2010
  • We're currently pre-alpha
  • Our team is has a few girls (unbelievable I know!)
  • We're tentatively calling ourselves "A Shifty Bunch"

Right now we have no plans to release a demo of the game until at least February. We have been running user testing sessions to improve the game, but until we feel confident in sharing a build check out the new trailers that we try to make really cool!

Next week Tuesday we will have a new trailer showing off some cool new gameplay, and our website will be up and running at www.ShiftingIsEasy.com with some info about our team. In the mean time I'll be following the comments on this page, but feel free to ask questions as we'd love to hear feedback!
