Overgrowth takes place in the savage world of Lugaru where rabbits, wolves and other animals are forced to use paws, claws and medieval weaponry to engage each other in battle. Combining 3rd person adventure platforming with intricate melee combat, Overgrowth achieves a unique feel. Overgrowth also benefits from Wolfire's brand new Phoenix Engine which has been built from the ground up to allow the use of cutting edge graphics, animation, and physics. Add to these exciting features Overgrowth’s realistic artificial intelligence and streamlined control system and the result is an astoundingly immersive experience.

Post news Report RSS Overgrowth Art Asset Overview #17

This week I added some new pottery to Overgrowth (which you can preorder here). The pottery will be useful for general props in a lot of areas of the game, but I also wanted to make sure I had enough to stock a shop, in case we want to include that. I may end up doing some alternate paint designs for these, but combined with some existing pots models, I think this is enough variety for now.

Be sure to watch it in HD!

I also worked on some modular signs, and a generic tarp. Although these assets are not very exciting on their own, they can be recombined with existing assets to make more unique settings. I would like to have a good balance of large premade assets, and smaller modular assets so that there can be a lot of variety and flexibility in the models that ship with the game. This will be useful for me as a level designer, but also anyone who wants to mod the game!

This overview looks very much like the last movie you put on here, you start with something that you've done last time, I was about to click it away thinking it was the last movie... I realised just in time that this was a completely new update.

(Hint: maiby don't start with last movie's subject in the next movie?)

you make some great progress by the way...

Is it me, or do the pots look like plastic? It's a work in progress though and still great reguardless.

Modular signs? That mean we are going to get a sandwich board man? :P

I agree. The pots seems to be too shiny and a tad too "flat". Perhaps UV mapping can sort this out?
