Here is the latest in our new weekly Overgrowth alpha format! David himself took some time to illustrate the traditional changelog in video form.

- Added one-handed climb for extra reach

you should code in a falling roll. adds realism to a really high fall instead of it looking a a DBZ character falling to earth

I don't understand the point of your comments Mkilbride. Every three or four videos you say the same thing, that you wish the characters weren't furries. It's not like you are going to change the developers mind or something... anthro animals is a keystone part of the game.

You could mod it in the future, don't you see the amazing tools they release?
I'm sure there will be a lot of mods after release, if you preorder now you can play with map editor and see how powerful is right now.

Anyway if you wanna fight with human characters right now you should take a look at BTR.

( i'm a fan of both games, don't want to compare, just point this difference )

How do you handle ledge grabbing when there is another surface above?
Wouldn't it be better to do a vertical trace from within the colliding object to find the top/ledge (exit) than trace down from some random arbitrary point to find the entrance?
I guess the next step is too check there is actually space to climb up onto the ledge once you've grabbed it.
Still cool tho, nice ik :)
Will definitely be playing the alpha once I get another pc, pre-ordered but my current/old pc is majorly dead. Looking forward to a bit of script tinkering :D

Furrys or not whatever are animals fighting, (and not exist many games about this theme). Keep your work team, you are doing very good. :)

EDIT: Hey, we need water. I noticed the game do not have water effects. D: Why not try to do something? ninja rabbits swimming with pirate dogs would be a good idea. x)

Amazing as always, although I'd say the flail animation needs a little work, and should kick in sooner. Also, I think it would be really cool if you added an alternate "flail" animation for when the character is up against a wall as they are falling where they desperately grasp at the surface for hand-holds.
