The fight for survival is on! OverDose is a class, team & objective based multiplayer game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth. With gameplay in the tradition of classic games such as Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Enemy Territory, melded with up to date gameplay mechanics and movement, OverDose is a unique blend of online action, team play and of course, lots of gore. Using id tech 2 as a base, OverDose features updated engine features like full real time lighting and shadow mapping, physically based rendering, particle and physics simulations and more. Plus, in classic id Software tradition, our engine and game are fully moddable and scriptable, meaning even amateur mod makers can bring their own creations to life with ease. This isn't war... It's an all out apocalypse!
I bet you can't guess everything that's going on in this shot? No...? I'll give you a list:
1) Real Time clock that makes 60 jumps per second, 60 jumps per minute and 12 per hour. 100% accurate too, and times how long you have been in the level. Pointless, but all the cool stuff you can do with our materials.
2) Real time reflections, reflecting everything perfectly, including...
3) The laptop. Did you think that was a glow pic? No, its an actual UI, using the same scripting as the main menu system.
4) Doom 3 style flares, vignette, screen noise, colour correction, other post process features...
5) The usual stuff, like shadow maps, lighting and the like... :p
Thats impressive!
Normal mapping is very powerful here... The materials seem to be some plastic !
The style is very nice !
specular is a bit to high imo, but still very nice work ;)
Its a test map, for features. The lights arn't set up correctly. Because its a test map.
So yeah, its a test map. For tests.
For tests you say? Meh...has more plastic than Barbie & Ken. Testing you say?
Ill test you in a min Mark :p
