OreSome Shipyard Mode v0.9
May 3, 2013 Demo 0 commentsShipyard Mode is the sandbox designer for creating enemies and encounters in OreSome. It lets the player drop in pretty much any of the items in the game...
OreSome is a 2D strategy game about ore -- exploring space for it, fighting aliens for it, blowing up planets with it. Build a network of frames and bots to defeat your enemies -- or just throw a sun at them. In a dying, decrepit universe full of foes, build up your forces and mine your way to the top of the food chain to explore further and further out into the void. By the time you're ready, you'll be powering light speed jump drives with stars, building Death Star style super weapons with black holes and in charge of the largest scale mining operation ever known to man -- all working for one of humanity's least scrupulous corporations -- and there's a lot of competition.

This won't be a huge news post today, as the news is on the light side. Firstly, the demo version of OreSome, Shipyard Mode has been updated to v0.9. This brings in all the graphic, efficiency and feature improvements that the Alpha version has had for a while now. Should be a nice jump for those that want to try the free version rather than the main Alpha.
Coming soon will be general improvement, along with a few specifics for the multiplayer component. Ore pickups and projectile syncing is first on the agenda, with planets, debris and stars following soon after. That should leave the experience feeling a little less bare bones once those changes are in and the stability is patched up a touch. Hopefully, this won't be long in coming. A fractional improvement has already been added, as mentioned below.
v0.51
Added Lidgren auto port forwarding, may reduce issues caused by port 14242 being closed
Fixed minimisation in multiplayer not being retrievable
Fixed various issues with IP text entry
Well, this time was brief, but with luck there will be more soon. So, see you later curious androids... but not too much later.

Do you need an upgrade to connect frames to things or can I just not figure the GUI out?
Fun. Less learn by dying and more learn by doing, and will be better.

Nothing's changed on this end, it should be fine. Try reinstalling, then if that doesn't work post details in the forum of exactly what goes wrong.
When I try to install its says what version I would like to play and it give me an option to buy it or look for installed version on my pc which doesnt exist because there was a glitch with the update and had to reinstall do you know what I should do?

Done a quick gameplay of this on my channel! Youtube.com Bear in mind that this is v0.19 so some of the bugs might be fixed.
Fun game, looking forward to full release!
Any problems you have, post them on the forum, it's much more likely they'll be fixed. If you upload your saves somewhere for me, that'll make it easy to fix.
