Orbiter is a free flight simulator that goes beyond the confines of Earth's atmosphere.
Launch the Space Shuttle from Kennedy Space Center to deploy a satellite, rendezvous with the International Space Station or take the futuristic Delta-glider for a tour through the solar system - the choice is yours.
But make no mistake - Orbiter is not a space shooter. The emphasis is firmly on realism, and the learning curve can be steep. Be prepared to invest some time and effort to brush up on your orbital mechanics background.

I must say, for pilots, or space enthusiasts, this game rocks. If you want, you can try a realistic space shuttle launch from Cape Canaveral, or see what the proper angle for reentry is. And then, if you get bored, there's mods that add so much to the game, or you could just see what happens when you crash into the moon at orbit velocity. The one thing that puts this game off, is that sometimes it's too realistic. I find it quite hard to actually get the space shuttle off the ground, and mostly end up starting a scenario that already has it off the ground.
There is not a single piece of software I can recommend more highly for spaceflight enthusiasts than this. With just the core game you can travel the solar system, plot orbits, play astronaut, all the stuff you'd really want to do, but the addons make it. You can warp around to interesting places, set up bases, fly around planets and moons in a spacesuit with a maneuvering unit, and if you get really bored just see how fast you can get a ship to fall into the sun.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
id just like to say, if at first you cant get the hang of it, try and try again, watch a few tutorials, and try some more. once you have the hang of the simple manoeuvres, it doesnt seem so hard. and if you want to cheat slightly, get the delta glider IV from orbithangar and use its autopilot feature (but you can use it without if you want ;)
happy orbiting!
If you don't have this i would get it. It is alot of fun and with mods from orbithangar.com it can be funner and if you do get this get the ummu and ucgo mods and get the Relativistic Warp MFD 1.5 mod link Orbithangar.com
looks cool downloading but ill use the web thing tomorow
Looks good, I might try it out this week.
THIS is my childhood dream!!!
Yes!
i looks brilliant going to download
This is an amazing piece of software, even though after hours and hours of playing I still can't even get into orbit and dock with a station.
