Open-Source reimplementation of Westwood’s Command & Conquer: Red Alert game engine, updated to use the hardware acceleration of modern video cards using OpenGL and OpenAL for sound playback. It runs natively on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The game was designed with modifiability in mind, but is not identical to the original. Campaigns and mods made for the legacy game won't work out of the box.

The map featured in the news teaser square is Haos Ridges C&C.



  • Added desync checks to bullets and missiles.
  • Fixed crash notification not visible because the renderer did not shutdown.
  • Added fast mod switch using double click.

Tiberian Dawn

  • Fixed ingame menu crash after player drop.

Tiberian Sun

Still a lot TODO and therefore unreleased.

  • Added Nod barracks, heli-pad power-plant and war factory.

  • Added factory exit waypoints with placeholder artwork.
  • Added enter, detonate, guard, capture and heal cursor sequences.
  • Fixed the OpenRA.Mods.TS.dll not being copied to the mods folder when compiling on Windows.
