OpenArena is an open-source content package for id Tech 3 source licensed under the GPL, effectively creating a free stand-alone game.
My 16-map mappack for OpenArena. Plus, some extras.
AM/NK stands for Armageddon_Man/Neon_Knight, which are my 2 nicknames. :P

(*) Replaces original map in game. You haven't to worry with pure servers tho.
Also included is the following stuff:
- New medals
- Missing icons for 1FCTF/Harvester objectives.
- New icons for Scout, Doubler, Guard & Ammo Regen. These couldn't be differentiated in Missionpack due to same-colourness.
- New icons for 25 & 50 health. Regeneration and 50-health looked almost the same due to coloring.
I suggest you to use sago007's OpenArena Expanded mod (which can be found here) and Noob Sauce & Snickersnack's Grapple model until the new version arrives.
Details about the stuff:
Based on the Morbias' series of maps made by T. Elliott "Myscha" Cannon for Unreal (DmMorbias) Unreal Tournament (DM-Morbias][) and Unreal Tournament III (DM-Morbias) plus some features from the maps DM-Gael and DM-Leviathan (both made by James Schmalz for Unreal Tournament 200X and Unreal Championship) An early version is included on v0.8.1 of the game. In this new version, the players will start with Rocket Launcher and Railgun on their arsenal. This map is intended as a "fun-spammy-map", since that was the true nature of the maps in which this one is inspired.
Leilol requested an ice map at the forums, and this is my attempt to do it. It's a axially symmetrical CTF map. The water was thought to be used to put powerful items in there like Railgun and Prox Launcher, but due to popular request, I've added two side entrances per side to bases.
This is my first true map. In the first versions, it had only the Red Armor part, and there was only one way to the Railgun area. (Which had a window instead of the actual teleporter) Now it growed up and has a outdoor area, and a secret on it. ^^
Small CTF version of am_lavaarena. It has as bases the Red Armor area (where the RA is replaced actually by the flags) and are connected by a cross-shaped corridor with the Haste item on it. It's one of the 4 CTF maps of the pack which have the Missionpack runes on it.
Large CTF version of am_lavaarena. (Or mid-sized, I guess) It has as bases the Red Armor area (where the RA is replaced actually by the flags) and unlike lavactf it actually has the outdoor area as center of the map. It's one of the 4 CTF maps of the pack which have the Missionpack runes on it.
Remake of Quake CTF/Quake II CTF classic map McKinley Base/Revival. This is the only map which has the Grapple on it (thus I recommend to download both linked things at the beginning of the post, since OAX has LOTS of improvements over the Grapple and of course the second file has actually a model for the Grapple weapon) and the players will start with it. I didn't get too satisfied on how the map ended to be, despite that I like how it looks. Too narrow. It's one of the 4 CTF maps of the pack which have the Missionpack runes on it.
Another fun-spammy-map, it's based on the CTF-Thorns*' series of maps for Unreal Tournament series. Due to its "fun-map" nature, I seized it to put two rare items on there: the Flight powerup and the BFG. It's not easy to obtain those without any cost, since Grapple isn't there. :P
Seizing its texturizing to cover a hole in the SP campaign, this is my attempt to make a "pure-Q3-DM" "almost-competitive" map. No TA-weapons nor powerups on there.
Original map made by Filip "boczeq" Zembok, this is a retexturization & brush fixing of that map. I've used this map in the first tournament held at OpenArena Argentina.
LOTS of changes and improvements over Maik "SavageX" Merten's map hydronex, developed originally for Nexuiz. Mainly the changes over 0.8.1 version are: new spawn room by base, 4 entrances/exits from the flag base to the outside area, HUGE weapon/item placement changes, a big wall which extends over the middle area which helps to stop rail-camping and have three connections between the bases, one of them made for neutral objectives of 1FCTF and Harvester. It's one of the 4 CTF maps of the pack which have the Missionpack runes on it.
I always saw this map as a fully potential 1on1 map, but it's reduced size, among other things, helped to bring that potential down. I tried to improve this map a bit. No lava pit, a new passage, new size (1.5X bigger) and a new item/weapon placement.
Again, this map suffered from some annoying issues I tried to fix. New passages, new size (1.5X bigger) and a whole new item/weapon placement.
Remake from scratch of Firestarter's map reptctf3, done by request. It has a whole new weapon/item placement, and an X-shaped crossing which gives more gameplay possibilities.
Remake from scratch of Firestarter's map reptctf11, done by request. Not so much changes over the original, except that it's symmetrical now. No disadvantages or advantages for any team.
After the unrelease of 0.8.0 and the "thumbs-down" to both schism-b2 and q3dm6ish-v2 for getting non-free textures (accoding to leilol) I retexturized this map, mostly thinking on it as the final map of the SP I was doing with cosmo among others. It has 1.5X scale, a WHOLE NEW item/weapon placement (only Quad Damage remained on its place) which didn't include any TA weapons, and stair reformings.
Based on q3dm6ishv3 mirrored with the pillar zone as the center of the map, the CTF version has also the improvements over this one. The flags are placed on the Red Armor spot, and the middle area is the pillar zone. This is the only CTF map of the pack which hasn't any TA weapons.
This is a new set of medals based on Sauer2's medal designs. It also includes the Perfect medal, which is missing on the game, at 0.8.1 time.
Nothing to add, at 0.8.1 these were missing, so I've done them.
At 0.8.1 these were confusing due to all of them being in the same white color, so I've done them.
At 0.8.1, when cg_simpleitems = 1, the 50-health item was confusing with the Regen item, so I've modified its color, and 25-health too, to make both more recognizable.
