OneSamurai: Dusk is a Turn Based Tactical RPG set in the Kamakura Era of Feudal Japan. Japan for the first time in its History comes under threat from a mysterious outside force. You must defend against this enemy with a backdrop of political struggle and internal strife. OneSamurai: Dusk is the first of three Episodic games which will follow your characters journey through this period. You are able to transfer your story from one game to the next with varying degrees of change depending on the decisions you make.

Fukuoka is a town based on the island of Kyushu in the Kamakura Shogunate. Fukuoka is under the control of the Shoni Clan, who's leader in 1274 is Shoni Tsunesuke. The Shoni Clan are the Chinzei Bugyo (Defense Commissioner of the West) who are in charge of defending Kyushu if the time comes according to the Shogunate. This also gives them a claim to rule the entire island, though the other clans rarely legitimise their authority. Instead the most common use of the Shoni is as intermediaries between the Shogunate in Kamakura and the rest of the clans on Kyushu. Fukuoka is also home to the Ao Ken Mercenary Company Barracks. The Ao Ken leader is a man known as Yamauchi Ryuu, who is a large and authoritative figure. The player character during the events of OneSamurai: Dusk is a member of the Ao Ken.
