One Night 2: The Beyond is the long awaited sequel to the original RPG Maker VX survival horror game, One Night, first released in mid 2009.
Set almost thirty years before the original game, One Night 2 is a Lovecraftian adventure game where you must solve the mystery of Mairstone Manor, a house controlled by an ancient, malevolent evil, and discover the origins of the horror. Alone, trapped and with supernatural monstrosities bearing down upon you, you'll have to gather supplies, solve puzzles and combat terrifying foes in order to escape from the house alive.
One Night 2 features two playable characters, each with their own unique ability (such as increased strength or puzzle solving abilities) and four different endings to obtain (two for each character). It's the ultimate test of bravery!

One Night 2: The Beyond is a freeware horror adventure/puzzle game created with the RPG Maker VX engine. Similar in style to the original Alone In The Dark and Fatal Frame, One Night 2 gives you the task of surviving a night in a mansion controlled by a hostile supernatural entity of unknown origin. The game features two playable characters, challenging puzzle based gameplay, and four different endings to achieve. The game was first released in 2009, but is only now becoming available on Desura.
Additionally, the version being released on Desura is the Ultimate Edition of the game, which includes the full standard game as well as the Evil DLC Pack, with extra rooms, locations, puzzles, scares and monsters, as well as important engine tweaks.
One Night 2 is the second game in the One Night Trilogy, but serves as a prequel to the events of the other two games, so having played the other One Night entries is not necessary to enjoy The Beyond.
Along with the other entries in the trilogy, One Night 2 was chosen as a "Freeware Game Pick" in October 2012 by IndieGames.com and listed among the "Top 5 Indie Horror Games" by New Gamer Nation.
Enjoy One Night 2: The Beyond and many other great games on Desura.

3 bugs smashed in Legionwood 2 already. Either I have great beta testers, or I'm a sloppy programmer. Not sure which ;) #gamedev #rpgmaker

Trying to download the standalone installer just sends me to a 404 Not Found page. :-( Would you be able to fix that?

Hey, this game is fantastic! Some of those puzzles were definitely tricky but soon enough I began understanding how to solve them. Really though, I was just utterly shocked by the quality of well, everything! Again, totally fantastic. I think my one main suggestion may be some form of mapping system in the future, just because there were several rooms with occasional back tracking so it would just be convenient to be like "Oh! That was in that room on that side of the house!" Over all though it's not a real biggie :)
Here's a link to my let's play of the game: Youtube.com
I haven't uploaded all parts yet (just finished the game today) but I do update regularly. Also, anyone who doesn't want spoilers but does want a laugh keep a look out, I will definitely be doing a reaction compilation haha.
Bravo Dark Gaia Studios, bravo. I've been linking to your indiegogo in each video and I donated :) can't wait to see more!
Looking forward to watching the videos :)
Hi guys. I made a new channel for youtube, because my old channel was kinda bad but I had 72 subscribers in it but I wanted to make a new one for gameplays. And my videos arent that long, so take some time and watch some of them about this game. the link is here: Youtube.com
I really hope you enjoy them
Finished watching your Let's Play (at least, what you've done so far) and it's pretty enjoyable. I'm glad you're liking the game. Thanks for taking the time to LP it :)

I just recently made a Let's Play of this DarkGaiaStudio and I love your game - I'm stuck on the part where you need the code to open the chest?
The answers can be found in the Mixing List - the number of servings each drink provides gives you the order in which to enter the numbers.
There's also a readme with all of the puzzle answers. Just head into your Desura installation directory, find the One Night 2 app folder, and open the PDF manual in there :)
Press Alt + Enter during gameplay. It's supposed to go into full screen by default when you boot it up, but sometimes it doesn't fire, so press Alt + Enter to toggle it yourself.
