Note: Fair warning, this game is going on five years old, and I wrote it when I was 15 or 16 years old. As such, the story does get a bit cheesy towards the end and there might be inconsistencies/unlikely character quirks etc.
One Night is a survival horror game made in RPG Maker VX, released in late 2009. It holds the dubious honour of being the very first survival horror game made for the engine.
A frightening Resident Evil-esque experience, One Night challenges you to escape from "The Complex", a crumbling, abandoned research facility while being hunted mercilessly by the remnants of a long forgotten experiment. Relentless monsters and difficult puzzles await around every corner - can you survive the horror?

The Indiegogo campaign for One Night 4, the latest in Dark Gaia Studios' survival horror series is now in its third week, and it's already raised 10% of the funding the game requires, as well as a very special contribution from a band called With Our Arms To The Sun.
With Our Arms To The Sun were inspired by what they saw of the game on its Indiegogo page, and decided to lend their considerable talents to the game as a gesture of support. Four of the tracks from their first album, With Our Arms To The Sun, are set to appear in One Night 4, ensuring that it will have a menacing, Silent Hill like atmosphere. They have also offered up their complete debut EP as a free download to anybody who contributes $30 or more to the campaign.
The songs contributed by the band will appear in One Night 4 during cutscenes, as well as in the opening and ending credits. A full complement of atmospheric, ambient and general game music has also been commissioned for the game with the proceeds of the Indiegogo campaign that have been raised so far.
One Night 4 is currently at roughly 30% completion, with an estimated release date set for later in the year. It follows on from the events of One Night: Full Circle, but is not a direct continuation of the previous game's story.
One of the new songs, After The Storm, can be previewed below:

Just downloaded it yesterday and I gotta say this is the best horror indie game I've ever played in a while. I'm a relatively big fan of the Resident Evil games and One Night replicates the feeling of dread I get from that game exactly. DarkGaia Studios, you deserve every piece of recognition for this indie game.
I am making a playthrough of the whole game, and you can find the first part here: Youtube.com
Thanks for the praise. I'm a long time fan of the early RE games, and I really wanted to do a tribute to them and try to capture the feel of them (especially since the later ones are... not quite as good). I'll check out your LP!
