One Late Night is a short immersive horror-game experience, starring an unnamed graphic designer employee, working late one night at the office, until strange things start to happen.

The basic idea is that players who have been in similar situations, and worked with similar office jobs, will relate themselves to the game setting and scenario and become immersed. Even if you can't relate to the game storyline, you will still get a good experience. The storyline is presented with short monologues, displaying the thoughts of the player, as you need to perform certain tasks to proceed in the game to continue discover new clues about what's going on.

Use your surroundings to your advantage and hide under desks and in corners to avoid being taken by the ghost which haunts the office. Remember that the light will always be your friend. Survive the night and find as many clues as you can about the threat.

If the download mirrors are inactive you can get the game at: Onelatenight.com

I unpacked the contents of the zip file and tried to run the exe, but it says that it's not a proper windows file, or something. Might have to download it again.

Sounds like you are trying to run the wrong version. If you are on 32-bit Windows you should try to run the X86 version. The other ones are 64-bit Windows executables.

Try a different version. X86 for 32-bit Windows, and DX11 and the standard version for 64-bit.

Here's my full review: Egamer.co.za

I'm sure I posted it on the indieDB page, but just to be thorough, here's a quote from my review:

"One Late Night has a few notable issues, but in the end it’s a definitely a fresh horror experience that succeeds in achieving what it strives for. The flaws it has are overshadowed by what it does really well. It’s easy to recommend, especially considering that it’s free and it’s really a high quality game."

It's a really good game and the visuals are top class =) Just a few things I felt it could have done better, and there were some bugs and niggles here and there, but it was an enjoyable and great experience. Really well done! Lots of talent went into this.

Thank you. I'm aware of the issues that players have been experiencing, mostly due to user in-friendliness in the game mechanics. All of these issues will be taken into account for the sequel that is in development.

It's by 12PADAMS. It was the first review at the time I posted but now it's on page 2 and may well be further down by the time you check.

One Late Night... I had my eyes on that game for a while (like 2-3 weeks) without having the balls to play it. Once I decided to do it, just once I opened the game I regreted doing that... That place the game is set in, is just creepy itself - an office with nobody in there, only you. Or that's what I thought at first... Then Robert and the Black Widow are introduced, and that made me say 'Woah'... The game consists of the two opposites - the good (Robert) and the evil (Black Widow). Both of them…

Very disappointing you think it is a cool horror game but you never know where you must go. There was not even a moment where he said "Hey I heard something in the toilet" maybe you would have thought so, "maybe I should check times in the toilet" but so thought you all the time "WTF what should I do???
You should install moments that will give you a few tips where you should go next.
