We've added a new edition of the game to the Desura. This version has exactly the same content as the deluxe version, but it's more expensive. You can buy it, if you want to support our work on OGS Mahjong 2 and Shuan. In addition, to the Deluxe version of OGS Mahjong 1, you'll get:
- Deluxe versions of OGS Mahjong 2 and Shuan, when they will be ready.
- Access to the OGS Mahjong 2 classic mode beta-testing, when it will begin.
- Your name in the credits of OGS Mahjong 2 and Shuan (contact us if you want it).
About the future.
Right now, our team are working on two projects at the same time.
The first project is an arcade shooter game in a sci-fi style, named Shuan. We have received many snide comments that our first game lacks shooting and enemies, so we decided to fill the gap and make the game entirely about shooting the enemies.
The second project is OGS Mahjong 2. This game will receive the new rendering engine (with nice smooth shadows), the classic Chinese Mahjong mode for 4 players (online and local), MacOS support and many more interesting features, so stay tuned.
It may seem that splitting our attention on two projects is a bad thing to do, but we made this decision consciously and we're considering it as a right step on the way to our goal - the creation of a simple and convenient tool for game development.

I have to ask any of you, who can't start the linux version of the game (no matter deluxe or free), to send us a letter to bugs@opengamestudio.org with the following info:
1. What Linux distribution are you using?
2. Is it a 32bit or a 64bit distribution?
3. Are you using the standalone version or starting the game with Desura client?
4. Attach the ~/.OGStudio/Mahjong/log.html file to the letter.
5. Attach the ~/.OGStudio/Mahjong/game.cfg file to the letter (if it exists).
We're going to release the 1.0.2 version at the end of the month, and we want to solve the problems you encountered.
It is not running in Linux Mint 14 64bit Mate Desktop.I am using the Deluxe version.
Terminal output is:~/.desura/games/ogs-mahjong $ ./desura_launch_Play.sh

That's very strange. I'll check this out as soon as i'll download and install Mint 14 on my machine.
But as far as i can see, maybe you're trying to use the game that compiled for 32-bit system with 64-bit system. Please, check that the 64 bit version of the game is selected in the desura client.
It is not running in Ubuntu 12.04
Sorry here is more info 64 bit, paid deluxe version. All it does is a little box pops up briefly and that is it nothing else happens.
Getting this error on paid version. Bought, downloaded installer from desura site (not from desura cient), installed on "D:" drive as my OS is on C: and put my games on other drives -

Message: OGRE EXCEPTION(5:ItemIdentityException): Cannot find sectino OGSMahjongResource in ConfigFile::getSettingsIterator at C:\src\ogre\OgreMain/src/OgreConfigFile.cpp (line 221)
On black screen and click "ok" and shuts down.
Nevermind - I just reinstalled to "C:" drive and all is well. Great looking game!
