It's the original game with better gameplay, the only gripe I have is the lighting is less atmospheric with more light producing objects that also happen to be bright asf. Debatably, the animations being a lot more, well, animated, might also be a knock against the remake since the original games had a grounded in reality look, with all the characters being realistically stiff and emoting more realistically as well, but personally it doesn't bother me as much as the lighting.
