You have the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty. Tamriel's previous emperor has been slain, and with no true ruler the gates to Oblivion open and demons begin to invade the people and towns of the empire. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.
While I came to the Elder Scrolls scene later than most, I dove into Oblivion and enjoyed every minute of it. Hours upon hours of quests, equipment to collect, and replayability mixed with easy modding and entertaining dialog equal one of the best single-player RPGs I've played in recent years. My opinion may be skewed by the inability for my computer to properly run Skyrim, but I digress; I'm perfectly content with playing Oblivion.
