The next chapter in The Elder Scrolls series, Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its people and towns. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.
Oblivion features a groundbreaking new AI system, called Radiant AI, which gives non-player characters (NPCs) the ability to make their own choices based on the world around them. They'll decide where to eat or who to talk to and what they'll say. They'll sleep, go to church, and even steal items, all based on their individual characteristics. Full facial animations and lip-synching, combined with full speech for all dialog, allows NPCs to come to life like never before.

And i turned my gfx up even more, to full draw distance and resolution to 1024x768 and used catalyst control center to up the gfx aswell, beautifull game.
@ Yomb : DUH! What did you expect...
I run Obliv at full tho, looks...fegggin...AMAZINGGGGG!!!!!
You need
4 Ghz
pentium 4 (AMD athlon 64 recomended)
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9000 Series
If you have this you can run the game Wht all settingsat max.(just like me HEHEHE)
i got a p4 3.0ghz, 1.5 gb ram and a ATi 9600 pro 256mb and runs like crap... even on very low settings i get a disgustingly low framerate
with P4 dual core 64bits 2.8GHz, Saphire X1900XT 512 ddr3, dual ddr2 1Go, it run with all max settings on
I have a :
AMD Athlon 64Bit 3500+
512x512RAM
ATI X550 256MB
And i run on FULL, WITH HDR at a 600x800 resolution and it's 60-80 fps INSIDE and 40-50 OUTSIDE (when looking at a huge area then it drops to 20-30) with a 75% draw distance aswell.
Oblivion rox! LETS SEE SOME MODS TO 2x'THAT!
Works great on my computer. I have an Intel P4 3.0 Ghz HT with 1 Gig of DDR (PC3200) ram and a GeForce 6600 GT OC PCI-E. I run in full settings besides HDR mode (it doesn't let you run AA with it). Almost lagless on most parts. I just have problems from that memory leak bug that crashes the game.
I have a 6600 and it works superb on my pc, and I only have a 1.8ghz amd athlon, 1 gb ram pc! and my video card is a POS and crashes on every game! (except COD2 and Oblivion :P )
I bought this game, looked at all the reccomended requirements (which were met) exept for one: the video card (which it reccomends should be a Geforce 6800/ATI X800), but i only have a low geforce 6600, and so i can't play it... Life sucks.
Works fine, and is great!
