Nucleotide game development diary series covers the development progress of the eponymous game in a form of video blog. This is our latest video:

My name is Ivan Mandic and wellcome to Nucleotide. In this development diary we're taking a first look at diving. It is something you ordinarily learn before swimming, but every Gorf learns his lessons backwards. Diving is made to play an essential role in the game, needed in order to progress through the level and maneuvaring through the tricky grasps of the brutal death traps. While holding the dive button player automatically descends underneath the water surface while remaining the same movement capabilities. Releasing the diving button allows Gorf to gradually rise towards the surface and emerge from the cold dark dephts.

The next feature implemented in this development diary is a water interaction with all the death traps, in respect to many inquiries regarding this topic. It's important to EMPHASIZE that a lot of elements of this project are still in development and that future diaries will reflect more detailed executions of the current ideas. As to death animations, I regret to inform you that it just so happens I'm so good at this game, man, I'm like, the best in the world, you know, so... There's nothing for me to show you regarding such an unfortunate event cause I didn't died yet. I also updated shaders which I hope will result in your maximum viewing pleasure. It's very nice, right? Great success! High five!
