Nosferatu is a teambased multiplayer first person shooter. It involves roundbased (each player has 1 life round just like in the famous game counterstrike) only this game pits vampires vs slayers.

What the hell ? No, we are not dead, far from dead actually, if you want to know what the reason for the rather long news delay was, follow the last couple of news on the nosferatuthegame.com front page (if you haven't done so yet).
Anyway enough excuses time for some content.
We showed you Frog's thug model before but this time he got a sweet skin to go with, made by the man himself. The skeleton, while not really a playermodel is used for the vampire dieing effect and various other things (map props etc.). To further aid your plessure, I included a nice highres render for each model.
But hell yes, I know that model renders are cool and whatever, but I also know that everyone loves new ingame pics, so after the long wait you surely deserve some. As you can see on the pics of the fnp model, the attachment system is working just fine.
Oh wait, what's that ? Can you trust your eyes ? Indeed, the first screenshots of the thug playermodel ingame (btw. the first public ingame playermodel pics)
Btw. we are targeting a closed beta release around x-mas, and right now the ETA looks pretty realistic.
Finally I would like to say thank you to all the fans who are still with us, even after the quite long summer break.

Im not sure if anyone mentioned this, the clip on the thompsons supposed to be longer then the body of the gun itself
"Release Date Estimate: When its done ;)"
Any word on when this is getting released?
Actually a post comparing the different gfx quality settings is already planned. We just need to finish some stuff before.
More over, apart from the general low/medium/high settings, theres also a custom setting where you can set the quality for each effect-type independantly (in order to allow optimal speed/quality on your pc)
Alright medium is fine for me, maybe you should post 3 screenshots in the moddb.com profile or something like:
How the game is on LOW settings
How the game is on MEDIUM settings
How the game is on HIGH settings
gfx wise, but i think i can imagine it myself :P
Wow Zubie, you are a pretty clever boy hm ?
Next time you might want to check the FAQ, the moddb interview, the comments, the board or any other place first where this has already been discussed alot.
So go play the wiseacre somewhere else and do proper research next time ;)
Alone_In_The_Dark: You should be able to play it at least on medium settings.
www.vsmod.com ftw
Ah...
What settings could i run it at with the following comp:
Intel Celeron 2.0 Ghz
512MB RAM
Nvidia GeForce FX5500
I'm guessing low or medium?
Lower than HL2, higher than HL1 last I checked. It may go about the same as HL2 or even above with the bloom effects etc.
This is for the staff of Nosferatu...
Q: Can you please give me/us a rough estimate on what the system req's will be for this game?
