Nosferatu is a teambased multiplayer first person shooter. It involves roundbased (each player has 1 life round just like in the famous game counterstrike) only this game pits vampires vs slayers.

  • 2 very distinct teams (Vampires,Slayers)
  • Slayers use Weapons :: Vampires use Claws and special Skills
  • wide arsenal of weapons
  • lots of vampire skills
  • enhancement system for improving the player and his weapons/skills
  • rpg system for unlocking weapons/skills/enhancements/playermodels/skins and much more
  • persistant player accounts which keep track of weapon stats, experience points and unlocked content
  • dodging for the slayers and leeping/walljumping for the vampires
  • freestyle climbing
  • (optional) ironsights aiming for better accuracy
  • different gamemodi
  • vampires can turn humans into vampires
  • customizeable playermodels (swap heads and body/leg skins, add glasses, hats, etc.)

So after posting lots of twitter updates, and getting comments like "update without screenshots... dull" - I had to post some new screenshots :)
Development has been on/off alot lately, with larger gaps in the middle of the year. But lots of progress during the last months.

We are currently focusing on getting everything playtest worthy done, which resulted in me spending one weekend syncing all the weapons to sounds and adjusting thirdperson weapon positions.
All in all, the progress over the last week has been incredible.

Of course now and then we add some awesome stuff as well, as happened the other day with the stealth kills (aka fatalities from behind ;)  Basically if a vampire succeeds in sneaking up to a slayer from behind, he is able to perform one of various awesome fatality like kills (i.e. heart rip out + eat).

At the moment me and Fragger are animating those kill sequences, however if an animator wants to help out -> contact me.

Anyways, enjoy the screenshots (all work in progress so the one or other thing might obviously need improving/fixing).

If you like micro updates - make sure to join us on twitter or check the frontpage :)

This game looks very cool, but I was thinking that you shoulda give to it a more unique name, i mean, when you put on the google search ¨nosferatu game/indie/etc¨ nothing 'bout the game appears.
Not a complain at all, just an idea to make this game more known, or to not let it get vanished o the Web.

PD: tracking ;)

The holes in the vampires are various damage stages. While it is not really accurate to where you hit the enemy, it is still connected to the overall damage the enemy has taken. So in simple words : the less health the more messed up he will look :)

It is similiar to how it worked in Killzone 2.
