Nosferatu is a teambased multiplayer first person shooter. It involves roundbased (each player has 1 life round just like in the famous game counterstrike) only this game pits vampires vs slayers.

  • 2 very distinct teams (Vampires,Slayers)
  • Slayers use Weapons :: Vampires use Claws and special Skills
  • wide arsenal of weapons
  • lots of vampire skills
  • enhancement system for improving the player and his weapons/skills
  • rpg system for unlocking weapons/skills/enhancements/playermodels/skins and much more
  • persistant player accounts which keep track of weapon stats, experience points and unlocked content
  • dodging for the slayers and leeping/walljumping for the vampires
  • freestyle climbing
  • (optional) ironsights aiming for better accuracy
  • different gamemodi
  • day/night cycle maps
  • customizeable playermodels (swap heads and body/leg skins, add glasses, hats, etc.)

What the hell ? No, we are not dead, far from dead actually, if you want to know what the reason for the rather long news delay was, follow the last couple of news on the nosferatuthegame.com front page (if you haven't done so yet).

Anyway enough excuses time for some content.
We showed you Frog's thug model before but this time he got a sweet skin to go with, made by the man himself. The skeleton, while not really a playermodel is used for the vampire dieing effect and various other things (map props etc.). To further aid your plessure, I included a nice highres render for each model.

But hell yes, I know that model renders are cool and whatever, but I also know that everyone loves new ingame pics, so after the long wait you surely deserve some. As you can see on the pics of the fnp model, the attachment system is working just fine.

Oh wait, what's that ? Can you trust your eyes ? Indeed, the first screenshots of the thug playermodel ingame (btw. the first public ingame playermodel pics)

Btw. we are targeting a closed beta release around x-mas, and right now the ETA looks pretty realistic.

Finally I would like to say thank you to all the fans who are still with us, even after the quite long summer break.

Nope its not an mmorpg, its similiar to the way Counterstrike is played (only 1 life รก round etc.). However unlike CS the progress of your character is stored on our server. The longer you play the more weapons you unlock, the bigger the arsenal gets to choose your firearms from.

Check a all the currently released weapons here :

Hmm i need to get some new stuff into the moddb gallery

Wow. What wepons do the vampire slayers get other than the shotgun? Is this going to be a mmorpg? And finally, lots of shooting right? =D

Well in the video you walk from a totally dark room into the bright(er) outside (its like when you wake up in ther morning and you get out of your dark room everything appears to be way brighter than usual, until your eyes adjusted correctly.

The problem is that if we make the effect more realistic (like its totally black when you walk inside a dark room and you can slowly see again) it will be a major disadvantage for those who enabled it. And since you get quite a performance hit by enabling it, not everyone might be able to run it.

Right now it still makes non-pitch-black areas a little brighter/bloomy while entering a pitch-black room however its not a gameplay advantage (you cant really see more).

The target is to provide some non-gameplay-vital eyecandy that everyone can use or not use without suffering from a disadvantage over the other players.

the light effect for eye adjustement is cool and all, but shouldn't it go the other way around... when you first step out it is darker and then lights up as your eyes adjust? it just seems to me that if you are in a lighted room and turn the light off, everything is pitch black but after several minutes your eyes adjust and you can start to see objects...
