No scope that I have ever used has had distortion, they just have black edges, like the one in the picture if you are too close or far from the scope, or it is on the wrong angle, I think it looks good, hopefully the black adjusts to the movement of the gun when you pull the bolt while in-scope

Well I looked at scopes from a game I was thinking of and they have the dark fade around the edges too. So, I guess my thoughts were wrong.
