It is the dawn of the 22nd century, and the conquest of space has been monopolized by a handful of hugely ambitious mega-corporations. A delicate and vulnerable balance is maintained, but now, at the very edge of the solar system, a discovery has been made which will tip the scales forever — and send one ship and crew on an epic interstellar odyssey.

Why.... WHY!... why did they not make a second game?! *sobs histerically*

This vid is the pinacle of awesome... this game would be comparable to Halo 3 in terms of graphics! hands down...

I wish they stayed on and finished this... this would have been my absolute favorite RTS...

Ho-ly ****.
That looks beautiful, especially for 2005. Hopefully, Eidos will come to their senses and let the Hungarian studio make it, though I doubt they will. But I guess the Hungarian studio have made Battlestations a huge success, I loved that game :D

Eidos Studios Hungary was purchased by Square Enix along with the rest of the Eidos Interactive franchise in 2009 and the studio was closed by Square Enix in 2010.

R.I.P.

Here is a thought, and I know that it would be a massive undertaking, but what if we as moders were to make a Nexus 2 engine. I am not saying that we should make a new storyline (though that could be really cool), but rather try to make it Nexus an upgraded version. Add the more realistic mapping/lighting, improve the sound effects, give the players the ability to fly the ship themselves (like with the arrow keys or something) and add a holographic display. If they aren't going to make a new one, we should do it ourselves. If you agree, please post comments.

If it was not for us still being bound to earth, I could almost believe this was a real battle gone down, the details are beautiful, I wish I could design and model ships like these guys have. If they really have gone down it's a shame, a Deep Shame, Something like this should be given the ability to continue on until it's done.
