Earth is gone. Only some survived. Everyone who could, fled the planet and settled in the asteroid belt. Years passed, factions formed, WAR ensued over scarce resources and precious knowledge. You are a young engineer of the Node Collective, lost deep inside enemy territory. Your mothership was on a secret mission on the far side of the Triterian Empire, but you weren't senior enough to know its goal and purpose. So here you are - in a tiny, badly damaged shuttle - alone amidst the burning remains of what used to be the pride of your crew - with nothing but the cold voice of your computer to keep you company. NEW ORBIT is a unique blend of adventure and spaceship-simulation. Experience realistic gravitation and enjoy 90 minutes of gripping gameplay with fully voiced story!

I love the idea but won't pay nearly £5 when I can buy a fully fledged RPG from Steam (e.g. Deus Ex Revolution when its on a deal) for the same price with more than 20 - 30 times the game play potential .

The idea needs expanding somewhat. Maybe include some of the other planets as potential colonization areas (well the moons of Jupiter and Saturn at least, as well as Mars. did the moon survive? You could branch out and add a whole shed load of extra stuff, or maybe open it up to modders. Include an editor as well. Then I'd pay the price. I'll just have to pass until I either see it in a indie bundle or it's on a 75% sale.

It saddens me really as I'd love to purchase the game, just not at this price. (I may stretch to £1.99)

Just buy it for IPhone, It's apparently the same thing. Rather than make a PC port, Why not work on the new episodes mate? :)

A joke? 90 minutes only?
I read somewhere it's episode 1 and more episodes are planned. Doesn't sound like the new episodes (if they are coming at all) are going to be free when you pay for episode 1.
What a shame! New orbit looks like it has some potential - but the business model simply isn't right. For me anyway.

for 6 bucks u would think they would give at least 10 hours of gameplay , this would be better off as freeware, cant see the value of the PC version is the sam

I purchased the ipad version 13 months ago, the game was fun but very short and the storyline wasn't finished. Will the PC version be the exact same and also as short?

it is the exact same with better texture resolution and better audio quality. Freeware, hm? Why not! Oh right, I'm trying to pay the rent and feed a family...

Then you might as well put some more time into it. While I'm all for supporting indie devs, I expect less of an attitude.
This game isn't worth the price you ask - hell it isn't worth the sale price even. Next time at least avoid the "to be continued" sign - that way one might assure you're just unable, and not unwilling, to provide enough bang for the buck.
After this comment I'm very sorry I didn't spend this money on the indie bundle - but I'll be sure never to repeat the mistake with Blackish.
