In this article I go over Network's participation in the indie of year awards with a little shameless self promotion alongside our plans for clans and a couple weapons & equipment updates.

Okay first of all I would just like to start off with saying that XstreamTech are really trying to push Network as far as possible in the indie of the year awards in an attempt to get itself within the top 100 on Indiedb. That said we are going to be releasing a fair bit of content throughout it's duration to help maximize our audience's awareness. Below I have compiled a list of planned media releases over the duration of the competition and towards the end of the year ready for 2013. We would like to ask all of our trackers to vote for Network and spread the word in any way possible such as facebook, twitter, youtube etc. You can vote for us on the official Network page or alternatively using the conveniently placed widget just below.
1 - AX1 Assault Rifle Model
2 - HFG Frag Grenade Model
3 - AX1 Camos
4 - UI related Content (in the next article)
Now we have finished with all the lovely shameless self promotion we can move onto the actual development of the game and something rather large that we have planned. Last week there was a team meeting which was called to decide as a team whether or not we like the idea of clans, that said the general consensus liked the idea so we are beginning to come up with a rather detailed plan on what we plan for. So far we have come to the decision that if we do clans we must go further than your typical generic FPS adding incentives to clan play rather than just a simple clan tag. So we are aiming to build a clan system for network that helps separate us from other games with a lot more functionality, ranking, tournaments, incentives (such as camos, multipliers and more) and generally make our game have a more social experience. I am hoping to dedicate our next article in a couple weeks to revealing our plans for clans in Network.
We haven't really shown too much in regards to the weapons department other than a few rather old concepts of ours, that said I plan to start releasing a variety of different media starting with the recently released AX1 assault rifle base model alongside our other weapons we haven't released to the public eye just yet. On another note we plan to start adding a little more variation in our weapons in the form of camos (which is one type of aesthetic reward) to our current weapons starting with the AX1, that said we are currently trying to think of a variety of camos which would be seen across all of our guns, so if you have any suggestions on possible camo types feel free to leave them down below and we will gladly take a look at them and take them into consideration.
We are still looking for further members to join our team and we are really pushing hard towards getting Network out of pre-alpha and getting ready for a possible alpha in the upcoming months with the release of a dedicated Network website alongside a few new trailers, we have a pretty solid foundation for the game and is more than playable however we do feel that we would like to polish it further and add as much content as humanely possible before anything public however to do that to the best of our ability we do need your help in numerous departments however primarily in VFX department alongside 3D (we do have a pretty large 3D team at the moment) however we are always looking for more to help speed up development.
Reminder // For those of you that haven't voted already feel free to do so and we are looking forward to keeping you updated on Network's progression further.
