Nazi Zombies: PortableNazi Zombies: Portable

Nazi Zombies Portable aims to recreate the Nazi Zombies experience from CoD: WaW into the Quake engine, making it playable on the Hand-Held PlayStation Portable Console (Does not require Custom Firmware ) and can be easily played on just about ANY computer out there (Even Windows 98!). For those who don't know what Nazi Zombies is about.... Nazi Zombies is a gamemode in Call of Duty: World at War.
Nazi Zombies consists of up to four people (PSP Version does not support multiplayer right now) in survival against endless hordes and waves of "Nazi Zombies". Each wave the rounds get harder and harder, and you get points for barricading walls and killing zombies. You use the points to buy guns or you can spend them on the mystery box where you get a random gun in return. NZ:P will feature downloadable map-packs (don't worry they're free). We are constantly working very hard on this mod, so check us out at our forums.

Hello Nazi Zombies Portable Fans!

After what was a lengthy hiatus, Jukki, Ju[s]tice, and I (Blubs) are proud to present to you the NZ:P Demo....
... exactly 4 years after our initial release!

Notice that there is no alpha, nor beta attached to that name, for it is a demo. This release is a demo showcasing what's to come in the future of NZ:P.

- better get them from a-far while they can't reach you...

- okay, things are picking up here a bit...

Apart from having been rewritten from the ground up, (and heavily remodeled, reanimated, retextured, reworked etc...), this release showcases our determination to finish NZ:P. Our priority for this release has been stability, and playability ( which turns out is a lot more difficult than one might imagine on the Playstation Portable).

- This guy had a bad time...

- Sure looks survivable, doesn't it?

This release contains the very primitive (yet extremely functional) foundation for which we will build off of in the future.
Within thie release, there is only one single map, Nacht der Untoten, and it only contains a handful of weapons such as:

- Colt M1911 -Kar-98k -M1A1 Carbine -M1A1 Thompson -Double Barreled Shotgun
- Sawed-off Shotgun -Trenchgun -Scoped Kar-98k -MG-42 -0.357 Magnum

This is a limited selection of weapons, we are well aware, but it's a great variety to play with!
There's a lot more miscellaneous information to be shared, but why share it when you can go in-game and check it out yourself!

As usual, multiplayer is still not officially supported, but we hope to look into it in the near future, but our focus has been set entirely on gameplay as of late. That sure doesn't mean we discourage you from poking around with it to try and get it working ;)

- repair dem windows, receive dem points! Not like it keeps them out for long anyways!

- It is not looking good for this guy...

As you'll notice, there's no immediate pc version to go along with this release, that's because there is no pc version yet!
That may sound like a bad thing at first, but it is a drastic and important change which the dev team decided to implement.
In the past, we primarily worked on the PC version, porting features chunks at a time to the PSP version, this led to a highly unstable PSP version. Not this time! This time we did ALL testing on either the PSP emulator PPSSPP and actual hardware! This time around, the PC version will be the port.

Yes a PC version is coming! But that's a piece of cake, because just about anything will run on the PC, optimized or not.
For now if you wish to enjoy NZ:P on the PC, you can download the PPSSPP emulator (which we use to test) over at , not to mention that you can run any other PSP game you want on there!

For now, with this release we're doing something we've never done before. We're making NZ:P with the modders in mind, and as such, we're declaring this project open source! Available for download is not only the engine source code, but the entire qc source code as well! Happy Modding!

Also included is our current fgd file, for several reasons, we had to change our old fgd definitions file so unfortunately old NZ:P maps will not be compatible with this new release, but alas that just opens up the door to a whole new breed of developers!

For those keen-eyed mappers and modders, some of the old features not officially supported in the Demo *cough* perks *cough* can still be found in the mapper files, so why not give those things a go!

Alongside the updated fgd file, Ju[s]tice, our mapper, has made and compiled an example .rmf and .bsp file to showcase how some of the new changed mechanics work and how to set custom maps up! Expect more tutorials and guides soon!

As an added bonus, we have included a plugin for those PSPs with custom firmware that allows the "home" button on the PSP to be bound to a control! Useful those who wish to change up the control scheme to their choosing!
Though this plugin is included, it is entirely optional, and none of the default controls rely on the home button, rest assured!

- Everybody loves the thompson!

- ...hehe, good thing it's only round one, things can't pick up that quickly... can they?

As per the future of NZ:P, now that we have the foundation of the game laid out, the real fun begins for us devs!
The release that follows is going to be a good one!

So what are you waiting for? Head over to our downloads page to check it out NAOH!

Thanks for standing by us for all of this time! ...and be sure to stick around for the future that lies ahead!

Yours truly,
Blubs, Jukki, & Ju[s]tice, the NZ:P Dev team.

Hello! I have just made a small gun model, although I'm sure it will need some editing before it is put in the game, if it is.
For now I am just going to upload the photo of it from the render.
It is called the Nail Gun, if anyone has played Killzone 2, it is much like the Bolt Gun, this gun will pin one enemy against the wall, and when it is upgraded, it has more ammo, rapid fires, pins any enemy it hits to the wall, and explodes to kill them.
This gun will help when you are trying to revive a friend, also could serve as a crawler effect.
Here is the picture:
Put the http thing in front of it to make the link work.

All I'm doing is throwing out suggestions!
It really wasn't all that high poly, just the texture it had made it look so.
I lost the model anyways due to Autodesk freezing.

what are you trying to do?
if you want to help us, apply on the forums, however we are not accepting any more applications for modeling. Have a nice day.

Hello! I've decided that I would like to help out with this and post some things that would help make the game tons better, although it is a great achievement as of now, there are still a few things missing, mostly the sound effects and a main menu.
So here is some stuff.
Use this website to update your gun sound effects, it has a wide variety of high quality sound effects, and they are all free.

I've also made this small package with a main menu and some songs for the game:

I hope to help out more, I plan on making some models and possibly some animations for you guys, I really want this idea to progress. I will also draw up a map or 2 so that people will have even more a reason to play this game.

Thanks for making this and I cannot wait to see how far it goes.

i think after you get the main mechanics and everything operational. you should work on adding in something slightly different than the originals something that sets this nazi zombies apart!

The game's so great i even ignored the bugs. After my psp shuts down, i immediately turned it on to play again. Hehe. Its repetitive coz its just an alpha. Cant wait for the beta, i know you can offer more for us. Congratulations. And by the way, are you planning to change the title game?

one BUG that really gets to me is the damage(well,m the only thing that gets to me) after round 11 it is really unreal it took a whole 625 mg bullets to kill 1 (downed) zombie, also after 10 the numbers dont change. and after round 15 or 16, it no longer tells you what round your on. The last bug is when you turn on the power and open the power door going to the box room, no zombies come to the power room.but besides that, GAMES AWESOME!!!! p.s kino der toten would be nice... :)

damage is already fixed, it will be fixed in our next release (not too far off)
the stuck zombies are a problem, we have been trying many different solutions.

For fixing stuck zombies why don't you make it if a zombie does not cross a barracade in x amount of time it dies?

Or just make a little box around them so, the cant get stuck to each other, sorta like a little barriar around them.
Oh, and btw, do you mind adding one of the original maps that would be playable on the psp on the next release ?

blubswillrule Jan 7 2011, 2:35am replied:

well, the problem with the zombies, is that they do collide with each other, the ideal solution would be to make the zombies have no collision with other zombies, thus eliminating the "stuck to other zombies" factor entirely
as for new maps.
although we have some maps made, they aren't all that playable, we need to spend some time really enhancing the zombies AI so that the zombie can easier navigate the maps, because zombies - navigation = sitting there... waiting for zombies, and nothing happens which is extremely boring, especially when you're ready to kick some zombie ***, haha

TehDoktah Jan 8 2011, 12:08am replied:

Maybe you could have them not collide until they get over the barrier. Also, they tear down the barrier with two swipes. Is this a bug or a feature?

3 years ago, i was playing Call of duty world at war. i remember it so clearly. Natch der untoten was the map, yes it was. so i was sitting with my ps3 controller in my hand on some ridiculous round thinking to my self. "wouldn't this be awesome if this was on the go?" so then i searched for nazi zombies for psp, yet at that time there was no such of an idea of it. i grew depressed. - _ - i was clouded in despair. But you the nzp team gave me hope again that i will still be able to slay zombies…
