Navpoint is a space action strategy about being a starship traffic controller.
Take command of the Navigos Traffic Control Station and with the help of a fleet of Police Frigates, Customs Clippers and Tugboats, guide cargoships, couriers, luxury liners and cruisers safely to their destinations.
Build cargo and passenger docks, repair and refuel stations, and defence satellites. Create a solar infrastructure to wring profit from passing shipping.
Sounds easy right? But when you also have to deal with politics, aliens, pirates, smugglers, traveling film stars, terrorists, floods of refugees, sunspot radiation, wormholes, meteors and nebulas, it can get complicated!

About the Developer, Language and OS Support
Hi everyone,
I'm Ross Edgar, lead developer of Navpoint.
When I started to make Navpoint I wanted to create a game where you are not Space Captain McWonderful. We've seen enough of those! I wanted to create a game about the people who sit in the background BEHIND Captain McWonderful. What are they doing? What is their day like? And what job is more stressful, and relevant to space travel, than Air Traffic Control?
I realized early on there are a LOT of Air-Traffic control games already out there. But mostly on mobile, and mostly with zero depth - simply place square peg in square hole and try not to screw it up. When I was designing Nav Point, I tried to add many layers of (sort-of) realistic drama and excitement to the game. It's not just a case of getting ships where they need to go! You need to consider the speed and dimensions of the ship, it's role, it's political affiliation and it's surrounding environment to be successful.
Navpoint is currently in early alpha, and I (hope) think it's ready to be seen by you, the public. On release it will have all of the features listed in the description above, plus anything else I can reasonably squeeze in in the next few months. Initial release will be PC only, but if successful you can expect a Linux and MAC version as soon as possible. Language support will be English only at release - but I expect to add French, German, Italian and Spanish as soon as possible.
I hope you like Navpoint and I look forward to responding to your comments.
Fly Safe!
Ross Edgar.
