Yes. :)
Would be interesting to know, if it's moddable ;)
From their site:
Unlimited Variations
WYSIWYG graphical tools and powerful scripting allow you to create new weapons, scenarios or entirely new games. You'll get all our tools and Lua source code we're using to build NS2. Ongoing automatic updates keep the game fresh by adding new maps, weapons and abilities.
:)
If We do not preorder, is the price going to be the same, because i'd love to preorder, But I don't have the $ and i'd prefer not to spend more later when i want to preorder.. :((
Wow looking really good.
Torgue - that is soooo cool! As these guys are modders originally, so I guess they will create better modding tools than any of the big developers. Plus, this engine looks very good and would give way to a lot of interesting mods, I think.
My thoughts exactly.
They are the original designers behind NS1. So, they're not new. But still, some seriously pro looking stuff.
Awesome trailer! Really liked the effects at the end. Will look into getting this once I get a new PC.
not for ps3? :(
xbox360 is much easier to code for. Or so I hear.
Similarly I don't think they're trying for a Wii port.
Love it! Can't wait for it's release...
need trailer, demo or a review before purchase,
Wow looks great! Can't wait to play it. I would pre-order, but I would rather have it on Steam.
I want the crazy special edition black armor thingy but I also want this on steam.
I don't know what to do =(
Flayra and the NS2 team are trying to work with Valve to make sure you can connect the pre-order copy with the Steam copy.
However, no promises.
I took the Special Version and soon i took the preorder over steam NS team i love you ALL :D
:( not a source mod D: saddness
Amazing!!!
I want to try it!!!
Well the Kharaa have become smart and added plate armor to the Onos! Silly aliens!
do u have to buy it cause it says pre order plz answer
Pre-ordering the game isn't necessary. The game will be released via Steam once it is ready, and you can purchase it then. However, pre-ordering gives you access to the Beta and other nice treats.
Looks great... shame it did not have a small single player element leading into the multi-player, like a tutorial on tactics, moves etc playing along side some NPCs. Run through a couple of pre-levels and then be thrown into a multi-player game. Would play to the illusion of a single player... Don't think it hase been done before, not in a single feature...
Whoa....uhm yeh did not follow this for some time. Now I see they made their own engine instead of using source engine. That's great! Good job guys!
16vs16? Aww shucks. I was hoping for like 32vs32. Like a all out war (:
Valve's games are 16v16, but look how many their really is in game. I'm sure it'll be the same with NS2, server plugins to allow more players.
Will we be able to travel down the digestive tract of the Onos this time? XD
Stupid questions aside, I fully intend to ruin my life with NS2 and will preorder as soon as I have the cash. :)
To everyone with a PREORDER QUESTION, please refer to the official NS2 Pre-order FAQ:
Naturalselection2.com
Also, you can keep up-to-date with Steam Preorder progress via the NS2 Twitter page:
Twitter.com
You will find the most accurate information on these two pages. Also, Flayra has been kind enough to post directly in this thread. He is the lead dev for NS2, and I assure you he is doing everything in his power to make sure Preorder keys work with the Steam version. Be sure to give him and the rest of the team a big woot! for their hard work.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE TWO LINKS AND READ EVERY POST IN THIS THREAD BEFORE ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS.
Thank you!
Money? No way
A question not answered on the pre-order FAQ is this: Will the special edition be available on Steam?
Good question. I imagine that a Special Edition will probably be available. However, depending on how soon the game is uploaded to Steam, it might be too late for the alpha and beta test. Meaning, you might get the black marine armor, but you'll miss out on the early testing. Of course, it's also possible that these tests will be run through Steam.
Will there be bots? I want this game to be playable....FOREVER!
There will most likely be bots. If not in the initial release, they will probably be included in one of the updates.
This game isn't so close to call it MMORPG.
Seen this title before as well as the first version. Ain't worth it if this goes retail. Since this game is an indie, I highly doubt if this game offers skirmish support just like any UT game.
The game isn't an MMORPG. It is a team-based online mix of FPS and RTS. Currently, teams are planned at 16x16. I'm not sure what you mean by skirmish support?
He means more bot play. I heard the team from Whichbot was working to provide AI support. But it sounds like his mind is already made up, because he knows so much about it from NS1. Hur Hur.
Oh my god! *clicks on link and checks the pre-ordering page*
