Welcome to Friday Update #58!

We're all about options here at NNK, so this week we're giving you a better look at Smoke Bombs!

Smoke Bombs Smoke Bombs

NNK has been a fast game since day one, and we wanted to make sure you had every tool you'd need to play as defensively or offensively as you wanted to. Smoke bombs are one of the most exciting tools you have at your disposal. Sometimes when the battle gets too intense a smoke bomb is the only escape option available to buy you those extra few seconds to regroup.

Regardless what your play style is Smoke Bombs suit your needs. They can be used as cover to charge up a devastating attack, a way to blind your opponent from seeing where you ran to, or even thrown down to hide in while making bunshins of yourself to confuse your enemies!

Whatever your play style you'll find yourself using Smoke Bombs nearly every fight.

Ciao!

Dude, Come on, I Understand you have a great game, and show all the features but this is starting to get pathetic. Every week you come out with a screenshot, a description of something, a wallpaper. You are doing a great great great job. Just stop doing this, stop coming on here and writing the littlest ********, just to get on the moddb front page to get people to look at it. Next time, wait until you have something to show people before you come up to show someone something.

We do have things to show people. We've been having things to show people for 58 weeks. I understand that you don't like our updates, but unfortunately, there's nothing you can really do about it. Complaining about the updates and being impatient isn't going to make good things come faster. Nor does being patient. We have been feeding people content for FIFTY EIGHT weeks straight. Be happy that we're showing you guys something every week. We could be like other mods and update once every year.

Heh, I lol'd irl.

We show one feature at a time and describe how the mechanic works. As Damaera said, we do an update every Friday and it's our way of letting our fans know that we -are- active and working on things behind the scenes. More people would complain if we only updated once a month or less. You're essentially asking us to stop updating every friday and only update sparingly to produce bigger updates; but, if you actually took the time to check out our 58 different updates you'll see what we have big updates fairly frequently amidst the smaller updates. Such as videos showcasing in-game footage and features.

So essentially we're doing the exact same thing you're asking for, but -also- doing more on top of that. You should spend more time eating your pie and less time opening your mouth; it seems you had absolutely nothing better to do but raise a moot point.

I'm not asking you to stop doing updates, I'm asking you to put something in your updates. Hell, last week you put a damn wallpaper up, where in the world does that show progress of the game, Your just exploiting the system.

Yes, last week we did put a wall paper up. Other fans do enjoy having new media of their favourite mod. Just because you did not enjoy the wall paper, it does not mean other fans couldn't see the benefit in it as well. In fact I know a few fans myself who are even using it as their desktop background. So I consider that update just as successful as any other.

The bottom line your missing is that we are giving you exactly what you want, as well as smaller updates just to touch base with fans and let them know we're still here and project is still going. We don't always have to show features. This isn't Friday Features. We let you know we're still here and working on the mod.

Showing major content every week is not a possibility, even major developers can't handle that demand and we are no where near the level of a multi-million dollar funded operation.

If you are honestly as upset as you seem to be, then simply stop checking every week and check back every month or so. You'll have 4 updates to view which will be the same as one big update. Either that, or please stop returning to NNK, your pessimism is something we'd rather not have.

Again, we do put things in our updates. We basically show screenshots every week, and a video or two every month.

Well, the smokebomb is actually a weapon you will find yourself using pretty frequently ingame so its not like we're just showing an "useless" wallpaper. Plus, we literally can't produce a cool video showing off some kickass new technique every week simply because there aren't enough such things to show every week.
I think this consistent weekly stream of information is good as it is.

Besides, not all our news makes it to the frontpage. Being on the frontpage or not depends on how relevant an article is and we sure did have ones that we're not relevant enough. But thats not really an issue for us

I personally think the weekly updates are great, especially considering the current state of the PC modding community! Knowing that a mod team is alive and working is reassuring and having little tidbits about features is something they are going out of their way to give us. They could just stop all updates, wait until they are done with the mod, and release it. They would become just as popular in the end, but it's not about popularity...it's about being close with the modding community and giving people something to enjoy. Thanks guys!

Wouldn't the rasengan pull in a lot of the smoke when being formed since you're gathering air and spinning it at high speeds?

I kinda doubt that a cloud of smoke could completely hide chidori's lightning either.

According to the laws of physics it should.. but then again, its a game where the laws of physics don't really count much ;)
