Moved by Darkness is set in the a slightly fantasy 1940's with a victorian, gothic steam,punk infusion.A modern retelling of the classic good vs. evil. Some of my influences are Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, NIN, the human experience (you know, what it feels like and means to be a human!), synchronicity, spiritual awakening, mental illness and MANY real life "Haunted" locations, such as The Crescent Hotel, Villisca Iowa and the psychological horror/tragedies that have fueled rumors of the paranormal occurrences at these places.
I'm a huge fan of the old FMV days , yeah I know, most of those games were crap, but there were a few that did a memorable job with it. Ahhh...Nostalgia... I MAY be using FMV and practical effects in the game to tell the story.
Although in it's very early stages, you can get the feel for the atmosphere by playing the demo on my website at Movedbydarkness.com
This game also has Rift integration.
I will be making use of the immersion of VR and 3d audio to subject the player to a psychological experience.
MbD is very early in development and I look forward to sharing the journey with you!

Thanks! There is no end to the demo. :D I'm simply sharing builds as I go. It's pretty much just tech demo at the moment. Actual game is going to be way different, but the aesthetics will be the same.
Hello sir this is wolfspawn and I would love to be the one who shows your game to the entirety of youtube. Though I am not a big one yet, I have a decent following who would enjoy seeing what your game is about. And yes the nostalgia of those FMV games. I have played a few and miss it myself. The problem is I haven't seen one person try it since the good old days. Expect to see a video link soon.
Hey wolfspawn! I'm going to be doing an open dev with this game for most of the entire development. You can play the game at movedbydarkness.com Please keep in mind, that everything is very basic dev at this point. Right now, I'm spending some time getting a proper story together and working out mechanics. Once I feel comfortable with what I have, going to start modeling the sets and get them into the game. After that, I'll be filming the actors. It's going to be a lot of fun, and I think it will be interesting to share the dev with everyone. Feel free to talk about it, but all I ask is that you keep an open mind about what it is so far and remember that the end result will be much different that what it is now.
