Mount and Blade: Warband is the first sequel for the action role-playing video game Mount and Blade. First announced in January 2009, the game was developed by TaleWorlds and was published by Paradox Interactive on March 30, 2010. Warband expands on the original game by introducing a sixth faction, increasing the political options, allowing players to start their own faction, and incorporating multiplayer modes. Reveiws of the game were generally favourable, with the addition of multiplayer the most highly praised element.

Mount & Blade: Warband the fantastic sequel to the original M&B is now available for purchase over Desura. Along with user made modification support Desura is the best place to enjoy what Warband has to offer.

Yes but many people will still prefer Warband as many people want to keep to a medieval setting.
we shall be releasing Fire and Sword also.
Most mods won't be using fire and sword anyways. Warband will keep most of the mod support.
F&S is third party anyway, I'm skeptic that modders will adopt it first off. I'm glad that its on Desura now. I hope this means I can buy future mount and blades off Desura.
