For all those complaining about the company's business model, I agree they shouldn't really call it a full F2P, but the model works. It gives players infinite time to check the game out, and test out all of the features. And in a game like this, someone with 60 in all skills can even kill someone with 100 in all skills if they're skilled enough and/or take them by surprise.

Think of the model most "F2P" games use. They use an item mall. It may seem like it doesn't imbalance the game as much but it does. Someone with hundreds of dollars to throw away on a game will have a HUGE advantage over players who can't/won't spend money on item mall.

tl:dr The small monthly fee is easily payable for most people, and item mall games not only require players to pay a lot more than $15-20 a month to get a good edge over the competition, but they're much more imbalanced. Just look at any game by TQ Digital or IGG to see what I mean.

After learning what the premium benefits are, that killed it for me.
Subscribing players repeat the same thing in their page-longs in it's defense:
that you can "win with enough skill". They ignore the fact that they need less skill and effort than the free players. TL;DR? Pay2win.

If the devs had experience, they'd do what Grinding Gear Games is doing,
what made me pay them and not regret it.

The most immersive MMO I´ve ever played. I have never had my heart racing as much as when I play this game. If you want a sandbox in the same style and spirit like UO but with better graphics, MO is the way to go. The dev team is very small, but they do wonders with what they have. It´s still unpolished here and there, but I rather have a buggy sandbox like MO then a smooth themepark like WoW. Also SV sommunicate with their playerbase almost on a daily bases, and really take in the opinion from…

If you like shit games with bugs, shady gms and exploits, then Mortal Online is for you. If you like a game where GMs scout for players, command kill players for kicks and berate their subscribers, then Mortal Online is for you!
